    Help with these finds

Looks like a BADLY melted/mangled nickel to me... Kind of look like you can see what's left of the "FIVE CENTS" lettering, "..IVE CE..."?

    Transmission question

IDX, I've got places I hunt where the EMI must be in the WM10's Bluetooth frequency range, and no amount of NC will help it. (I've tried many times, lol.) It's kind of hard to describe, but it's not the same kind of noise that noise cancelling DOES help with .... it's more of a buzzing? :shrug...

    Titanium ring ID

My personal experience with titanium rings, is that they fall pretty much in the nickel range. I wear a men's size 9.5 titanium wedding ring, and it reads in at 12:13 on the CTX. Titanium and Tungsten are often confused, and can even look similar, but Tungsten rings read much higher. Titanium...

    Transmission question

I've noticed the same thing in bad emi that sube mentioned .... so in those areas I just plug in my Sunray PGs directly. It helps. Otherwise, the WM10 'semi-remote', (as you call it) works great the rest of the time/locations. As far as 'full remote', you're going to have a problem there...

Maiden voyage to another beaten park....

Colorado. Typically, we're 'supposed' to have a monsoon season during late summer, but this year it just forgot to rain. I figure with a few famines and a swarm of locusts, we'll have this year pretty well covered. mike

Maiden voyage to another beaten park....

Very nice! A couple of those dimes look to be in great shape. :) It's been quite a while since I found 8 silvers in 4 hours... Your ground looks like pretty reasonable digging. Around here, it resembles concrete right now, lol.

Need year of first release of vintage metal detector.

I've had several D-Tex detectors over the years (decades), but I've never heard of a Depth Demon model. If it exists, it must be an extremely early model...

Not bad for a hunted out ball park

Very nice, EP. I much prefer hunting "cleaned out" parks. It means most of the clad, and a lot of the trash has already been cleaned out to help me find the deep stuff! :) mike

May be the strangest cache I've ever found...

Monkeys Uncle, Interestingly, no. I have spotted a couple of 1959's, but conspicuously absent are any wheats. Just adds more to the mystery, as statistically speaking there should have been a few wheats in the pile. (And there are quite a few from 1975 through 1977 that look uncirculated and...

May be the strangest cache I've ever found...

WaterScoop, Hopefully I'll need to use that tip when I find my next cache of hundreds of silver dollars. :) (Wouldn't that be sweet?) mike

May be the strangest cache I've ever found...

Jim, the whole time we were picking them up, (and then driving back,) we were trying to come up with a reasonable theory .... but drew a blank. BTW, if anyone's interested in how to recover hundreds of pennies (or dimes I suppose) without a good container or pouch; You can easily fill up empty...
