Want to trade - my almost-new Garrett AT Max for a Nox 800

I have MAYBE 8 hours on the AT Max, warranty registered less than a month ago. I'm much more familiar with Minelab than Garrett and would rather go back to the Nox 800. I'll consider an even trade, including headphones.

    Silver day

I'm still learning my 900, too. I've been using it for about 6 months. I almost always hunt field 2 with recovery speed 3, but that's in fields and woods. The depths I've found stuff is insane!

    Silver day

Nice finds! What mode were you running? Recovery setting?

    Thankful for another fun hunt!

Today's finds cover a few centuries and I'm thankful to have found them! A smashed musketball, what might be a 1793-1807 large cent (hard to say for sure - details are all but gone), CW ball button, spectacle buckle, strange lead piece (bullet?), possibly a cap (reeded edges and iron through...

A few modest finds today on the 1755 farm

I can get behind that idea all day long!

A few modest finds today on the 1755 farm

The bucket piece makes sense! As soon as I read your comment, I could see it. Thanks for that! And the other nice remarks, I appreciate it!

A few modest finds today on the 1755 farm

I've been waiting all year for the fields to be cut and they finally did them! I only had about an hour and a half to get after it. I dug my 2nd SLQ ever and love the three ringer. It resembles the Washington Arsenal ones I've dug before, but I think the bottom star was distorted. Any...

POD Bolt specs? - connecting upper rod to computer module

Answered my own question via trial and error. Two are metric 4mm x 8mm and the other two are 4mm x 12mm. I believe it originally came with four 4mm x 8mm, but I found two of the holes took the longer bolts, so I went with as described above.

POD Bolt specs? - connecting upper rod to computer module

That'd make a good template for sure, but I need the bolts. I'm going to see if I can them at a hardware store nearby. Crazy that even Minelab didn't have the info!

POD Bolt specs? - connecting upper rod to computer module

Would anyone know the bolt specs (4 bolts) that connect the POD/computer module to the bottom piece attached to the upper rod? Thank you!!!!

Marking my one year detecting with a great hunt (probably never happen again)

Do you find much in the way of silver at those sites? I find a little, but I'm amazed at how many seem to have ZERO silver around them.

I like the way you think! I was actually considering making the thread title something along the lines of 1.5 cents LOL

Rick, you can read the dates with a little side lighting on all three. The dates are on the reverse side. VA half pennies are easy though... they were only minted in 1773 😂

Marking my one year detecting with a great hunt (probably never happen again)

I'm pretty sure I'll never experience again what I did on today's hunt. I had a SLOW start at a secret spot for about two hours. I'd been checking a lidar map I had made, exploring features that looked interesting. Nothing good except for a copper plated dandy button. I put the map away and...

Thanks! I found an old Colonial house foundation nearby. Hopefully it has some good stuff around it!

An old 19th century road bed, ending at a deep creek that empties into the York River of Virginia, leads me to the goods! Three the coppers from L to R are 1729 King George II Half Penny, 1848 Matron cent, 1835 Coronet cent. They're rough, but I got them cleaned up enough for me. The nickel is...
