All that Love is, God is, for God is love

Here is a meditation for today. I hope it is a blessing to my fellow detectorists who have already found their treasure: Why is it so hard for people to understand that when it says "God is love," it means all that love is, God is. So we could insert "God" in these passages and see what kind...

Took out my new to me V3i

Big Treble or anyone who knows, Once I do a Ground Probe, how do I know what settings to make for a near perfectly tuned detector?

Be careful what you throw in the trash!

I was going through my finds over the weekend, tossing this and that piece of trash. I got to this, what I thought was a bottle cap and almost tossed it. Then I thought, Why don't we just wasn't it off to see what it is. It was totally caked with dirt on top and completely filled in the cavity...

Took out my new to me V3i

That's good to know. I have a 9"+ buried penny and dime in the back yard. I can not only get my V3i to hit them well with the 10" D2 coil, I can even raise the coil about 3 inches off the ground and still get a VDI on the coins. Not perfect but a digable VDI!

    I'm really liking this V3i!!!

Scott, Thanks for the tip! The token was found in Flint. Maybe we can meet up some day . . . before we die. It would be nice to detect with someone else, especially one with another V3i! My friend who I detected with for years recently died of a heart attack.

    My Medication for Today

My medication (malapropism for "meditation") for today and maybe the rest of your lives, The apostle Paul wrote: "Let your lenience be known to all humans: the Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be...

    Ground Probe Question

In the links at the top of this page for information on the V3i Rob (IL) wrote: "To get the phase of your target, put the coil on the ground away from the target and press the zero button - that captures the ground for separating its effects from the target." Where is the "zero button" on the V3i?

Thanks, folks. I will have loads of reading to do this Winter!

Information on ALL the Settings on V3i?

Is there any information on absolutely every setting on the V3i? I was going through my settings and wondering "what the heck is that for?" or that? or that? or that? It would be nice to not just be told what such and such a setting is but how to use it and if it messes with other settings?

6 inch Eliminator Coil for Whites Spectrum XLT . . .

I recently purchased a used V3i and one of the coils shipped with it is a 6 inch Eliminator coil. It doesn't work on the V3i. The seller told me it is for Whites Spectrum XLT. My question is: Will this coil work on my MXT, MXT Pro or DFX?

Got my Whites 5.3 coil for my V3i today

This bent wire came up pretty good on the V3i.

Got my Whites 5.3 coil for my V3i today

Hey DFXDon, thanks for the good word! I also have the DFX and was actually getting pretty darn good with it and would use it along with my Explorers. I would put the 12" HotShot coil on the DFX, go into a park and would be able to here silver in the mix with the trash. Now that I have the V3i...

Got my Whites 5.3 coil for my V3i today

Coming from you, it means a lot. Thanks for the positive post. It was a minimalist kind of day. :sleepy: Cold winds a blowin, cold temps, and now we have a spritz of snow on the ground. I am really hoping this 5.3 coil will become an integral member of my arsenal. I just have to put it through...

Whites 5.3 coil Hitting a 9+ inch penny and dime on V3i?

Thanks, john67. Question: When I really crank up the 5.3 I hear like a fast clicking noise. Does yours do that as well? I hope nothing is wrong with the coil. When I first put it on I forgot to go into the software and change the coil from the 10" to the 5.3. I hope I didn't hurt the coil. Yea...

Whites 5.3 coil Hitting a 9+ inch penny and dime on V3i?

Well, I wasn't expecting too much. I just received the Whites 5.3 coil the other day. Took it out to the coin garden to see if it would hit my 9+ inch penny and dime. I started out in High Pro. Nada. Then went to Deep Silver. Nada. I tried different sensitivity settings and RX Gain and Max boot...

The Golden Umax has captivated my attention with four tones. But I am curious what folks are getting as far as depth on coins?
