Watch Fob or a Medal Hanger?

Here is a picture of the fob and the 1800's medal I found in the same back yard with my Explorer SE Pro this morning. Everything in this back yard is really difficult to eek out due to all the trash in the ground. If anyone knows what the bar is for on the back of this fob, I'd like to know...

    Watch Fob

Got out for about an hour in the back yard this morning and found this. Everything I find has to be eeked out. It just doesn't come easy with all the trash in the ground. Don't know what the bar is for on the back on the fob. Maybe it's not a watch fob? Maybe a ribbon hung from that back and...

Hotel Martinuque New York Key and fob

Found this tonight in the back yard where I found the silver and other things. I guess someone forgot to turn their key in at the checkout. Key and fob were deep. Might be from the 40's? I guess Radisson bought out the Hotel Martinique.

War Medal and a little silver

Anyone know what date the war medal might be? Or anything about it? Dug it up today. Haven't dug a silver quarter for a Loooooong time. Both quarter and penny were in the same hole and both 1945.

Set up my Coin $tike this morning

Special thanks to Michael NY for PMing me on setting this bad boy up with some good settings. Now I just have to take it out over the holiday and dig me up some cool stuff. Question: Is it better to have manual ground balance or . Auto Tracking on? I guess Auto tracking is for a place where...

Advertisement for the Fisher 1270 . . . see through iron?

And advertisement for the Fisher 1270 states: "high resolution iron discrimination mode that enables you to (See Through) iron trash " Does it really see through iron trash? I've heard it goes pretty deep.

    I have a Fisher Coin$trike. How does it compare to a CZ3d?

I have a Coin$tike that I have hardly ever used. I probably hardly ever used it because I didn't really take the time to learn all of its functions. On a scale of 1 to 100 where the CZ3d would rate 100, about where would the C$ rate between 1 and 100 in relation to the 3d as far as depth of...

    Wireless headphones for metal detecting?

Does anyone here use wireless headphones for metal detecting? There are Bluetooth transmitters and headphones that pair with the transmitter. I need to use one with a 1/8" jack on the transmitter that would plug into where the headphones would normally plug into.

Battery in coil when needing replaced?

Can one simply take out the old batter out of the coil if it goes bad or do you have to send the coil in to have the battery replaced?

Going out for an extended detecting hunt today

I'm going to take my XS and SE Pro. Couldn't get out this week due to either rain or work. Got the new 13" Ultimate for my Pro. Gonna see how that bad boy works. Wish me luck or pray for me. Going down in the hood by myself. Hope no gangbangers find me. If I never post here again, you'll know...

Will an F70 or F75 beat a CZ-3D in depth and identification at depth?

I've been looking at both the F75 and F70 and CZ-3d detectors. Some say the 3D is the deepest detector out there and can rightly identify a coin down to 9 inches. I've never had a CZ-3D so I don't know if that is a true statement. Does anyone know who has used the F70 or F75 AND the CZ 3-D...

    Detech Excellerator M coil?

I have a Detech Excelerator M coil. I haven't used it in years and don't think it goes on my Explorer. Does anyone here think it would go on my Minelab Muskateer Advantage? It's 5 pin and is about 12.5 inches. Notice the pole is different than an Explorer and it has a push tab to lock it into...

How many of you thought about quitting detecting for good?

I go out and detect all freakin day and manage to find one freakin crusty, and not that old wheatback. I see other people in our Michigan Metal Detecting club on Facebook finding all kinds of silver halves, standing quarters, jewelry and a boat load of really nice things. I know, I know...

Using the Explorer SE Pro with the pro coil that came with it

I was detecting in my front yard the other day, going really slowly in all the trash and, using the coil that came with my SE Pro, eeked this penny out. No, the coin isn't worth anything but just knowing what this coil and detector is capable of is priceless. All the junk was in the hole with...

    F75 jumping ID numbers?

Hi folks, Got a question: When your numbers are jumping all over the place when you've detected a deep coin, how does one even know it's a coin on the F75? For instance, on YouTube a guy was demonstrating the F75 on his coin garden. There was a quarter at 10 inches, a dime at 8 inches and so...
