    This is helpful since I’m right by you in Iowa and we mostly hunt the same kinds of sites and soil. I’m a coin hunter in mild dirt so i think fbs will be good for me.

    Finally pulled the trigger!

    Keep in mind nickels sound different on the 2 coils. On the 11 inch they are a 25 vdi, on the sp24 they are a 31.

    I highly recommend 2.78 it’s much more stable and accurate.

    I’m on 2.78. My disc pattern was 0 to 30 notched out, 30 to 35 in for nickels since they ring up a 31 with the 9x5 coil. Then 35-60 notched out, accepting most mid/high and high conductors.

    Hi etrac users, I recently found a used Etrac for 400$. It comes with just the stock pro coil. Should I go for this? I hear the etrac is killer on coins, what I look for the most. But my question is: should I pay a little more for an Equinox? They are supposed to be better on separating targets...

    Want a new pin pointer

    The pulsedive is an excellent pinpointer. It’s 30$ less than the Garrett, DEEEP if you want it to be, rugged, waterproof to 200 feet, and best of all you can get a search coil for it and transform it into a dive detector! Best on the market IMO. Also comes with a lanyard and the garrett does not!
