NY TRIP REPORT: Relics, SEATED:thumbup:, Jewelery, Colonial buckle , Button, SILVER :detecting:

I went to Corning, NY to attend an annual museum conference at the Corning Museum of Glass that I try to attend every year. This year I decided to spend some extra time there and take my CZ70. I bought a nice out of print local history book to research the area, and mapped out all of the late...

NY or Bust :detecting: Anyone know if the Lesche is OK in check-in luggage??

I'm packing my detector and have about 5+ days to detect :detecting: I was lucky to find an out of print history book on the county I'm traveling to and have already found about 6-8 large public places to detect that date back to the early 1800's, possibly earlier. I'm hoping to break into the...

If any were published, were they helpful? Any CZ70 info in them? TIA Brian

    CZ70 nabbed another RING :beers:

I've dug my share of junker rings this year, so I'm perfectly happy with silver rings, don't get me wrong I prefer gold  but silver's good too. Found this silver ring marked .925, unfortunately missing the center stone, it was about 5" deep. Weighs in at 4.5grams. Not sure if it's old...

CZ Silver streak finally ends, and Gold starts :yo:

Last couple of hunts. Got out with some friends @ GGP, and found this Victorian sterling silver shaker top marked "STERLING 925/1000" and a tiny mystery button (any ideas on the button?): Found this condition challenged silver thimble last weekend, she's not pretty, but she's old...

How to open CZ70 control housing

I would like to implement the iron disc relic hunting mod that was posted here a while back on my CZ70. I removed the two screws on the bottom of the case, and gently tried opening it and couldn't get it to go without feeling like I might break something if I forced it to go. Can anyone tell...

CZ70 Silver Streak Stays Alive . . . Barely :stretcher:

I hit a little park on the way home this afternoon not really expecting anything, and the very first target was a Mercury Dime  It was all downhill from there, couple of newer quarters and that was all she wrote. Will GGP end my silver streak tomorrow  :poke: HH, Brian

New Spot w/CZ70 = Good FInds :detecting:

Took the CZ70 out this morning with the big Sunray coil to another site and did pretty well for a couple of hour hunt. Found a 1900S Barber dime, 1943S silver war nickel, and 1917S, 1919S, 1944S wheatbacks and a bullet slug :surrender: hh, Brian

    CZ70 + FZ-12 coil = KICK BUTT

Went to a spot that I previously pounded with my CZ70 and the Fisher 10.5" coil and thought I had cleaned it out. Yesterday I hit it with the CZ70 and the Sunray FZ12 coil, and started finding good targets right away. All the coins where between 6-9". I also found a small buckle and a silver...

    T2 (& T2 Ltd) Environmental seals ?

Hunted with a buddy this spring and my machine did fine in the drizzle and his T2 crapped out both times we were out in light rain (but was fine once it dried). Did Teknetics offer an upgrade to get environmental seals on the T2 like FT did on the F75? TIA, Brian

Anyone detect around the Corning, New York area ?

I'm going to Corning in the middle of October for a museum event unrelated to detecting. I plan to spend an extra three - four days there to see if I can locate Colonial period cellar holes to detect. We have nothing like that in California, so it would be a great new experience. I was curious...

So who's testing the new T2 LTD

As I know both the standard T2 and F75 are fairly equivocal in performance, with some liking one over the other for various reasons (I like Eltons post about the T2 being a better coin shooter) I was hoping to see someone testing the T2 Ltd as well. Anyone getting their hands on one soon to test?

Anyone detect around the Corning, New York area ?

I'm thinking about going to Corning in the middle of October for a museum event unrelated to detecting. I plan to spend an extra three - four days there to see if I can locate Colonial period cellar holes to detect. We have nothing like that in California, so it would be a great new...

Any detectorists around the Corning, NY area ?

I'm considering going to Corning, NY during the middle of October for an event unrelated to detecting, but also planning to spend an extra 3-4 days out there to see if I can find some Colonial period cellar holes to detect (would be a great experience compared to the late history we detect in...

:twodetecting: F75 LTD vs T2 LTD :argue:

With these two souped up machines soon coming to the market, both upgraded with faster microprocessors and updated DSP software, if you were going to purchase one, which one would you choose and why ??

Interesting hunt with the CZ70 this afternoon

Although I didn't make any stellar numismatic finds, I did dig the deepest coin I believe I've yet to dig. I got a signal that bounced between high coin, penny and relic, with a zip or two of iron thrown in for good measure, and it read 8" deep. I decided to see what it was, and at an honest Abe...
