    decent find?

    So my wife my daughter and my self went to a park over the weekend and did a little detecting... after digging up a bunch of clad coins and some junk i came across this piece.. anyone know anything about it?

    Found a Bank of Montreal Half Penny 1844

    i have looked these up and mine has a hole at the top where the ones i look up do not.. did someone punch a hole through it for some reason or were there different versions of this coin? does anyone know about them? thanks in advance and HH.
