Thinking of getting a new detector, Equinox 600

The Equinox 600 is an outstanding detector and I'm sure you will be happy with it. However, for the same price or less there are couple other options to consider. The Xp Orx is a beast in iron and a lightly used Deus 1 can be purchased in your price range too. A new Nokta Legend pro pack is...

    Rent before buying?

Rental detectors are hard to find, at least in my neck of the woods. Maybe a nearby detectorists would loan his out to you to try for a hunt or two.

Another short evening hunt at the bullet patch

That's quite a nice little patch. I never had any luck finding coins in areas where I dug bullets either.

I think you have a sword plate there. Civil war era. Awesome find.

    New Legend Owner

Coach, you've gotten plenty of great advice above. Pa farm field sounds like relics to me. If that's the case, I would start in default field mode, M1, all metal. Civil war bullets come in around 41, round balls a little lower at about 36. Brass buttons range from 30 to around 40. Good...

    Safari and Quattro Differences

VaDigger, I am the proud owner a Quattro and I can tell you it's a great detector. I know its heracy to say this but I preferred it over the Etrac so I sold the Etrac and kept the Quattro. I cant factually answer your question regarding the Safari but I THINK they are the same.

Old farm disc and an old car

Curious what the Legends TID numbers were on that Fairlane. I'm thinking mid range cause that things pure gold. Seriously, that would be a great restoration project.
