    Today was OUTSTANDING!!

I keep it simple; Park mode; Sensitivity 28 or whatever the soil/EMI allows; and 60 tones. The rest I use FD settings. I occasionally ground balance when I move from one area to another. I'm not smart enough to remember the rest of the settings to use.

    Today was OUTSTANDING!!

I've hunted this Park for the last 45 years or so. Always amazes me what's still there. Since the Legend my Silver stash has grown the most.

    Today was OUTSTANDING!!

Best day I've had detecting in a long time. I really think it's listening to the tones. I will run in 60 tones from now on. I only dug 6 coins, but 4 were better than average. I got 2 silvers, 1 IH Penny, and one Lincoln. They ranged in dates from 1917 to 1894, with the oldest being a Barber...

    Factory setting

Worked fine with my win 7 Pro version and I now run 1.10 . In version 1.10 you have to key up the menu that shows at the bottom of the screen and use the arrow key to move the cursor over to the man symbol; then press the pinpoint key and hold it until the FD shows. It worked for me.

    Amazing dug relic!

When you think about it, that is a modern relic since production was stopped in 1975.

    4th Silver

Just went to 60 tones and really started to listen for the faint and iffy high tones. Also slow as she goes. I think the Detector is TEACHING me to be a better listener. That said, however, if it creates the same result with my wife, I'm doomed.

    4th Silver

In the last 5 hunts, I've found 4 pieces of Silver. Today's find was a 3" deep 1896 P Barber Dime. This Detector is by far the best I've ever owned. I ran the whole time in Park; sensitivity at 28 and 60 tones. Ya gotta listen to the tones. BTW, I found 20 some coins and 13 of those were in...

Went to a different park today

I didn't find anything of import as well. 80 degree weather is to hot for my liking. As far as what's been going on in here; I'll defer to Jimmy for an explanation. Again, sorry for the hijack.

Went to a different park today

Again, thanks for posting in a post you refuse to post on. Seems like you're offended that I responded to OP's post. OP wasn't??

Went to a different park today

IMO Jimmy, you're missing the point. I tried to edit my original post to add how much I appreciated OP's post. Anyway Jimmy, if you're tired of posting on this thread you should stop posting; on a thread you refuse to post on. Apologies to OP.

Went to a different park today

I liked a froze off my Ears today. Went to the Park for about 1.5 hrs and only found (5) coins. Good thing is NO Zinc penny's ! Got two Dimes and one of those was a Merc; 1918D.

    LG15 vs LG24

Because of time constraints I rarely have any more than 2 ~2.5 hrs. to hunt at any one time. You'd think I'd really like a LG24 so I could cover more ground, but it's the opposite for me. Since last fall I've hunted the SAME patch of ground and have found more Silver coins and Indian penny's...

    LG15 vs LG24

If I bought the LG24 I'd have one more coil setting in the closet (LG15/LG24); can't say which one but I know for sure the LG15 is a killer for separation AND depth. In the last 3 hours of detecting I've dug (2) Merc's in heavily trashy Park that were both over 6" deep. I see NO need to buy...

The art of plug cutting a thing of the past??

AGAIN; I'll agree to disagree. Love my Phoenix shovel.

The art of plug cutting a thing of the past??

I'll agree to disagree; me and my Phoenix shovel has free reign at my local Park, since I cover up other "detectorists" screwed up holes. You'd think Armadillo's had taken over by the looks of some of the tear ups.
