Got Some Coin To Subsidize My Annual Gold Coin, And Some Gold Too!

Looks like the covid issues are starting to fizzle out around here. I have been out for a few hunts, a little gold panning and highbanking. Garrett sells a nice line of gold pans for prospecting, should you ever take up the hobby.

    What should the price be...

If it's the GTA, not the GTAx, $200.00 would be reasonable. If it's the GTAx, shoot for what Matt suggested.....$275 - 300. It truly is a great coin shooter. Does your GTI 2500 have Treasure Talk?

My Son Lost His Wedding Band Planting Crops In A Farmer's Field......

He lost his ring somewhere in a farmers field planting crops. When he told me that I tensed up. He asked if he could borrow a metal detector, and so I lent him the Garrett ACE 400i. He headed back out to the farm field where he was planting, and like "wow".......he found it! What a lucky guy.

Got Permission To Hunt A Couple Of Lots Where Some Houses Were Just Torn Down

It looked like someone had already beat me to this site, however, I still managed a couple of great finds. Below is a Hotwheel Camaro toy I dug up. I believe it is one of the rare ones, which can fetch a good price if in good shape.

I Am Back After A Brief Hiatus!

Been through some difficult times recently. My unit at the hospital where I work had a major change. I am now looking after a covid unit. It kind of knocked the wind out of my sails for a bit. Lots of demands affecting my family life and unit operations. Anyhow, I had to get out and get some...

Got My First Ring For This Year With The Apex

Made my day! Got out just before a cold front hit Edmonton. Lots of wind, a temperature drop and snow mixed with rain. I am getting closer to purchasing my annual gold coin later on this year. Below is a closeup of the ring. Fake gold I guess?

Ace Apex Got 2 x Silver Coins Today

It rained and snowed most of the day. I did get out for about 3 hours, and hunted s site with permission where 3 x houses were recently torn down in the fall. I was surprised to find this many coins. I did manage a few silver dimes, a Wheat cent, British WW II military button, an older nickel...

APEX Is Getting Me Closer To My Annual Gold Coin Purchase

It's been a very crazy time in North America so far this year. What I experience as normal, up here with temps in the -30's, was the norm right down to TEXAS, with crazy amounts of snow. I managed to get out as much as possible. The APEX had to put up with hunting in the snow, in temps -30's, in...

    Thoughts on Garrett Apex

I have found the APEX to be a decent coin hunter, even pulled out several rings last year. You can run it right out of the box in any mode, or you can tweak it up for low and high conductors. You also have different coils available, both produced by Garrett and after market ones. The APEX is...

I too prefer concentric coils and have previously mentioned this to Garrett. I guess time will tell.
