    What is this anomaly??

    That's not an anomaly, that's great news. I've pulled memorials and clad dimes to 8" in SMF with the 6" coil. Soooo, if I switch to 4khz, I can expect to find small coins to at least 12" with the small coil. This detector just gets better and better.

    On mine, pennies will sometimes read like a dime, but I've not had any dimes reading lower like a penny. Tabs aren't even close to either. Highest tab TID I've had was a 37.

    Can't really say. I usually just go for 2 or 3 hours at a time. But, I don't charge it till after I've been out 3 or 4 times. I guess that would make it somewhere between 6 to 12 hours on a charge. Don't know if that's different than running it continuously, but I've not had it shut down on...

    Hadn't been detecting in 7 or 8 years, but I've owned the ML XTerra 70 for about 15 years. Just started using it again last year and then bought the Legend earlier this year.

    The thing is that ML did NOT drop their patent rights, they expired. They cannot be extended indefinitely. Some would have you believe that ML "let them go" and somehow others have "stolen" them. That's just not so.

    Another thing many forget when comparing the Legend to others is that the Legend is a $600 detector. Not $700+. That is the pro pack which comes with an extra coil and external battery pack.
