    How many remember the very first detector you started the hobby with and how long ago ??

    A Radio Shack model (don't remember the model name or number). That was around '76 or '77. First "real" detector was a White's 5000 around 1980.

    If you have to swing the LG24 more slowly than the LG15, then you really aren't covering more ground.

    Do you have two LG24 and two LG28 coils? If so, maybe a bad LG24 coil.
