Doubts over Manticore 50% extra power.

Merrill (Metal Detecting NYC) on YouTube said MineLab should have the answer today on what the "50% more powerful into the ground" actually refers to and if or what the FCC specifies what the output power of a metal detector could be.. I may be wrong, but what I remember from years ago is that...

Doubts over Manticore 50% extra power.

I have not seen what the 50% more powerful refers to. It could be battery power, computer power, radiated power, coil ear resilience to breakage, audio power, light lumens, screen display, or it a combination of all the improvements? Has anyone seen in MineLab's documentations just what they...

    CKG Titanium Sand Scoop?

Titanium will weigh less and last longer than Stainless Steel of comparable size. The only drawback is the price. BUT, I will never look back and regret the price I paid. My arm's health would be much better had I obtained a Titanium scoop 40 years ago, they just were not available then. A pull...

    Do y’all think it’s real?

Try comparing your find with photos at: https://www.cartier.com/en-us/jewelry/bracelets/love/love-bracelet-B6067617.html You might also want to call Cartier and ask about the ORD and number. Looks good to me but the best way would be to verify with Cartier.

    Equinox 600 diagram

I have to assume the schematics are proprietary and you will never get one. Plus, us you are not into micro-miniature repair and have a source for the failed part you would be out of luck anyway. Just think...When was the last time you saw a television repair shop? We have become a "Throw-away...

    Manticore Software problem?

I do not have my Manticore yet so I cannot verify: The manual GB does not function in the beach modes because by default the recommended Tracking Mode in ON as the it continuously changes the Ground Balance. This is true for the Goldfield mode also. Maybe if you manually turn the Tracking Mode...

    Manticore vs Deus II

My thoughts on the Manticore after watching several hours and reading all I thought was creditable are: (take note I have never used a Deus) Better ergonomics: arm rest better material and adjustable, hand grip – larger CONS: larger cams and vertical ribs on coil – more water resistance...

    NOX LEAKING

I have one of the first Equinox 800s with over 1800 hours underwater. I hope I don't jinx myself by saying WITHOUT A LEAK. I also have an Excalibur Sword, and an 800 with over 8000 hours WITH ONLY ONE LEAK. My other water detectors have never leaked. - 1280X, Detector Pro, Infinium, ATX, ATPro...

How to reduce the drag of a water detector

Surf action on a solid coil is the pits! The original ATX had a solid skid plate. I had to cut out the center sections to keep it parallel with the ocean's bottom. The Stork Leg may help you with the shaft's drag.

Water proof case for xp deus 1

Take the remote to a dive shop and they should be able to show you one that the control will fit into and still let you operate the control.

    Help for coil ears

Use PC11 for the epoxy to build up the missing part and then get, and use, one of the ear stiffeners that is made for your coil They are available on the auction site. PC7 is dark gray and the PC11 is marine grade white. The epoxy takes 24Hrs to cure well, it is not instant cure. When cured it...

    Sling/Harness for Equinox 800?

ProSwing45 is the one I use when not in the water. I have used it with my Beast (ATX), ATPro with 18" coil, the Equinox 800. The many adjustments and the fact the weight of the detector is transferred to your back via the "J" rod lets me swing the ATX for hours on the wet sand. It is my "right...

    15" Coil Ear Stiffener Choice?

snowdak made the one I have used for over 2 years with no problems. This one has slots for two zip ties to hold the stiffener tight to the coil. Search for 15" Coil Yoke Strengthener and you can find the ones he is making today in various colors. I would like a lime green one so I could see the...

Anyone use a speadsheet to keep track of metal detecting

I use a spreadsheet to track place, time spent detecting with which detector, number of rings, necklaces bracelets (not including junk rings), miles traveled. When the info is entered stats for % of days a ring was found, number of days detected totals of miles traveled as well as a few more...

    Merry Christmas To All

And from Cape Cod....to you and all.... May the ring of gold be in your ears and its glitter in your scoop! What a beautiful time of the year. It just started to snow, the first flakes of the season. I know they will not amount to anything and will not stay around. At least they made an...

    New detector

Disconnect the coil connector and verify the pins are not bent or missing. If all is OK, reinsert the connector and thumb tighten the knurled nut. Check that the detector Volume is set to an audible level (e.g. 20). If you are using wired headphones, do the same with the headphone connector. If...

What's your favorite all around Garrett

In water detecting the Garrett Infinium is my best of the PIs I have owned or own now. The ATX is better when the ability to tweak controls is wanted, but the ATX is way too heavy for me to swing out of the water for long. The Minelab Swing 45 vest helps when I use the ATX out of the water. I...

Slings "To Use Or Not To Use" What you think?

Most of my detecting is in the water, no need for a "sling". With today's lighter detectors one is not really needed. That being said: My ATX is too heavy to use out of the water without me using my ProSwing 45. Likewise using a 15 or 18 inch coil on wet/dry land is easier to swing all day if...
