    I think the depth with a coil is what kind of soil you you have and how wet it is.

    I have a also have the 5D coil but like the concentric coil better. Does better in the trash and gets better depth. Found a lot of good stuff with that coil.

    Went to a school that I have hunted with the equinox 600 2 times and got 8.21 clad, ring and a locket but they are not real. The school is trashy used the f75 with the small coil.

    Went to a school and got 5.54 in clad today. Well it payed for the gasoline.

    Went yesterday to a small park with the 600. Got 2.29 clad. Where people park the cars it has rock and some steel that looks like rock. The 600 when through it was no problem. Found some dimes and pennies there. A lot of detector can't go in that kind of stuff. Good experiment.

    I just went and put it under the coil and it said 26 but it was deep about 8 inches. It is the size of a silver dime. Maybe that well help you.
