    9.5x6 inch LG24 coil

Just an FYI on a performance occurrance today while detecting a typical trashy park with the 6x9. Ground reading was probably pretty mild with a 23 GB reading and running at 29 sensitivity I managed to get a good enough signal bouncing around in the low 50's and dug an 8" deep quarter which the...

    Headphones?

The ear bud option on the Torus make them a game changer for me. Unneeded the majority of the time but when ambient noise gets troublesome they are wonderful to have to swap over to,,,,think of them as 4 wheel drive for your ears.

    Need information to 1944quarter

Heat would be a good guess or some kind of chemical , nitric acid? I have a weird quarter that I found years and have never figured out how it came about. Pieces were about 3' apart

2 New machines and a pinpointer

Couldn't agree more , plus I want to know it will work with after market headphones like my Avantree Torus. If the disc is anything like the probes that were so popular with the etrac machines (forget the manufacturer) the falsing was not an issue but did let you know you were chasing a tack...

2 New machines and a pinpointer

I'm not buying another detector but a rechargeable pin pointer that discriminates sounds enticing.

    9.5x6 inch LG24 coil

I don't make videos , the screen on my flip phone is just too small to edit on.:) Trust me , if coverage and equal depth and separation are part of the equation the 6 x 9 is well worth the money over the 6". If someone wants a 6" I would be happy to sell them mine.

    weight, legand vrs minlab nox

The beauty of the Legend's balance is not having to ever use the arm cuff strap to keep good contact with your forearm , don't remember that with the Nox. In the Winter when coats and jackets are worn daily , I enjoy being able to avoid having to slip through/under that strap after every recovery.

    9.5x6 inch LG24 coil

I was not aware getting the 6x9 was an issue. Richard at Backwoods had one for me months ago and I have found it to be a most effective coil. The additional coverage over the 6" makes any discussion of potential loss of separation mute if there really is any. However , Richard also got me the...

So who is buying all these detectors ?

3 or 4 years ago you could still find enough clad to pay for gas , now you can buy gas buy the pint with the daily finds. It's really simply , no recharging the areas so even the deeper masked coins start to get dug. Zinc coins have become the pull tabs of today since most decent detectorists...

Strangest thing I've ever found MDing.

I was detecting a community family oriented park once and went to recover a coin. When I was done and went to fill the hole I saw a black cap protruding from the side of the hole slightly. Pulled it out and noticed a printed dragon on the glass bottle and enough pot inside for two or three...

    Earbuds again…

Thanks , think I'll pass until I have an opportunity to try the tech out in a different means. What little I have read makes it sound like there are good and bad aspects to the bone conduction. Hard to imagine the quality of the sound after traveling through bone and tissue is the same quality...

    Earbuds again…

I'm a bit confused,,,,are the lingos true bone conducting or not. Avantrees advertising doesn't say anything about them being that , just that they sit outside the ear.

    Earbuds again…

I would be curious as to how the sound quality compares to the Torus(y)

    F75+

I think the Fisher brand will die and First Texas will keep it's hobby units under the Bounty Hunter name which is probably their cash cow in the detecting world. I would be shocked to see the new Fisher flagship model that has been rumored for the last 6 or 8 years. I think First Texas is...

    F75+

The sensitivity was scalable from 0 to 100% with simple turn of the knob , you may be thinking of the notch feature which was a block of 5 numbers versus single ones which made a disc pattern sort of difficult. 100 point VDI scales was nice as was the all metal side and yes , it was the best...

    Earbuds again…

That was one of the more pleasant parts of them for me. I don't hunt more than a couple of hours most days when it's this hot because I have too many "duties" to get me out early. It seems I can hunt for 4 days without a charge before the Avantree lady tells me the battery is medium , never been...
