    New coil won't connect?

You’ve got the coil number entered correctly Mark? Make sure any “zero” is a zero and not the letter “O”…just scroll in the Pairing screen to where the new coil is highlighted and let it sit, it should pair by itself. Make sure your headphones are not on and it’s not pairing to that somehow…

    My D2 Rod Assembly upgrade.

It could just be the light T-Dub. The handles are dimensionally the same but Steve’s doesn’t incorporate any rubber grip, it’s all smooth carbon. I don’t notice it because I wear gloves all the time but some who don’t might find it slightly “slippery”?…dunno. It’s a nice setup though.

    My D2 Rod Assembly upgrade.

Hey nice Dan! It’s so nice I don’t even want to use mine! But alas…I will tomorrow. If you do not know, the 13” coil comes WITH a lower rod which is ”carbon infused” to stiffen it up…but it will only fit the actual XP chassis obviously.

Anybody else having trouble with Xchange2?

They could just use it for setting patterns, importing/exporting files, naming things, etc. If that’s even what they’re up to. Maybe it does have GPS and in the next update they’re gonna turn it on!😃 Or maybe it’ll be a Chinese language update…you know, stuff we can use!

Anybody else having trouble with Xchange2?

Perhaps they are revamping the app to include the Manticore…hopefully it gets sorted out quickly.

Deus II, 1862 naval fuse plug

I actually read up on it a bit and see how they work, it just screws in apparently and the timing is mechanically set by fuse length…is this correct? If so, seems kinda dangerous!

Deus II, 1862 naval fuse plug

Very cool! So there was some sort of tool used to turn the fuse and arm it?

Deus II, 1862 naval fuse plug

I have no idea what that is but…holy &#$*!!🤣 That’s some perseverance right there!

    D2- Outgrew My Shovel

It has obviously been warmer this winter in places it is t normally this warm! And it is a nice problem to have!😃 This WINTER here in southern Wisconsin I’ve done better “old coin wise” than all of last spring, summer and fall! If I can dig a hole and the ground isn’t locked solid…I go hunting...

    Deus II 13x11 coil shaft

In your defense Jay…you really have to look for that “CF”! 🤠

What name brand do you believe has found more coins, gold, relics and or treasure?

The definition of “good finds/treasure” might have to be narrowed down, but between the big 3 of Garrett,Fisher and Whites a very large chunk of what’s been found that’s of value almost has to be due to them. Sheer hours of usage must be astronomical.

Loving the Deus 2 on the Beach!

With those finds I’d be liking it too!😆 They really hit a homer with the D2 for just about everybody’s needs and uses. I have found it to be THE tool I need for my uses as well.

    Need your input??

It’s really a loaded question, although I’m sure unintentional. ”EMI” (and I know you guys know this) can run from 60 cycle hum to ignition systems to “electrically leaky” infrastructure of all kinds to solar flares…it’s apparently all over the place! I realize that not everybody for whatever...

D2 Coil Battery Going Flat Fast

Also…I realize that I’m more “persnickety” than a lot of people but when I’m driving 45-60 minutes to a site I make sure my equipment is charged and with me. Nothing worse than dead or missing equipment. I met up with a friend of mine who drove 45 minutes to our site and he has the WS6 master...

D2 Coil Battery Going Flat Fast

Run time is 12 hours, 8 hours in deep HC or diving. Not sure how long they can sit and still have decent life. The battery life is indicated on the RC.

    Balance

In addition to the above…and as obvious as it may be…a person can put the Xp coil on ANYTHING if they so choose. Even a broomstick.

    Balance

Excellent points, especially the one about the inertia reversing at the end of a PROPER AND LEVEL swing. Perhaps one of the reasons we’ve seen the big U-shaped swings where the coil comes way up at the end of the swing in the past is because of this. Anymore, swinging for long periods of time...

    Charging batteries using alkaline pack?

There is indeed a circuit board on the rechargeable pack that is not on the AA pack, so even if the charger did engage, it might not know when to stop, I would not try it. The GPZ battery does have more runtime at the expense of being bigger and weighing more obviously, I think the runtime was...

    Pinpointer question

Absolutely agree with Monte, it’s almost impossible to go wrong with the Garrett pinpointers. I use an MI-6 right now with a carrot backup, but the XP’s are expensive. I like that it’s rechargeable and it goes for something like 75 hours, depending on settings.

    Deus 2 ws6's

All the software for the puck to run the coil is installed when they come. You can update the puck too. Absolutely no remote control needed.
