    Is there any thing modern that compares to the SOV

    No, lol! Ive been detecting since 1973, I’ve owed most detectors made. So far NO OTHER COMPANY COMES CLOSE IN TECHNOLOGY TO Minelab, and especially for salt beaches the sovereign or Excalibur runs so smooth. Purrs like a kitten.

    You may want to get the Nokta/Makro pinpointer, it pairs nicely with no cross talk. I’m impressed with the depth in non EMI areas, but noticed last week in a horrible site for EMI, it killed the depth but it does with , fisher, Tesoro, Deus and even old Nautilus machines.     I for one have been chomping at the bit for years for someone to make a machine to compete with Minelab, So far nobody has even come close with any type of simultaneous multi-frequency detector.     White's 6000/Di Pro SL Brought back to life!

    Keep that machine, it and the 5900 were two of whites best. The newer digital machines are noisy and nowhere near as accurate on target I’d, EMI, mineral, etc

    I miss my older 3.2 Deus and finds really declined when I upgraded to 5.0 software, so sold my last upgraded Deus last year When my back went out again. I miss the weight and performance, been On forums forever, most people know me, plenty of references. Not sure if the newer ones can change...

    True multi frequency must be a tough nut to crack. Whites was a great company and their beach hunter ID did not perform well at all.
