Anyone moved from the Nox 800 back to a CTX3030

I use both detectors. The nox is great for just doing dry sand but serious detecting in sea is much better in my opinion with the CTX.

9 years already ! I got mine in the summer of that year no regrets, well thats not true. after a few months I gave up, sold it to a friend. then after a few more months bought another 1 and persevered with the programs. It took me a year to design my own sea hunting program which is in use...

Hey guys, you know what I just realized?

It would be nice if minelab updated the excalibur for one that you can tell battery level, better performance but keeping it analog.

    excal coil

I use the NEL thunder coil. Its a bit of fiddle to put on as you need to strip the excal. It a bit more expensive than a stock coil but lighter. however for me it gives a faster coverage of beach due to increase size. it does not like some of the waves as it falses but I prefer it over stock.

    Early CTX Detectors

The very first CTX had a domed display. That soon went. then there was the rubber insert put into shaft to stop the wear updated armrest & battery seals came next, During the early days the internal seals were also updated to prevent water ingress.

cz21 and lower shaft question with larger coil

I have just acquired a 2nd hand CZ21. It has the larger 10" coil on it. (or is that 12") Anyhow the lower shaft on one side where the bolt goes through has a larger O ring recess on than the other, the other side has some worn ridging to stop the coil moving. The coil ears are different and...

Who has one and a CTX ?

Can someone who has the EQ and the CTX confirm if the headphone tread is the same on both machines or not. Ie an M12 I know it won't work as it needs a 3.5mm jack internally. I am going to make an adapter but want to know about the tread on the body so I can order the parts. thanks
