Pulled another silver out of the hunted out park

Dang nice merc, OPT. I went out today too. What did I find? A mangled carnival token from the 1920’s and a 1944 wheatie and a whole lot of junk. 🙁.

Found a few good ones today

You had a great day here in OH. I went out too, at an old homesite permission and a local park. No silvers for me. About 20 coins, though, and a Tootsie Toy Jaguar from the 1960’s. Still a good day. Keep digging, them OPT.

    Fisher 1235x

I have one as well. Also a 1236-X2. I’ll look for the manuals and see if they are dated, that will narrow it down. Both still work fine, and can be used in seeded hunts. Must be built like a tank! HH.

Went to a different park today

OPT, you did better than me. I went to a local Ohio park today and harvested about $4 in clad, no silvers, no wheats. I did dig a couple of 1965 quarters (of course), and a 1955 Canada penny. It was fun nevertheless to get out on a nice day and detect. HH, 😎

Deus 2 scores crisp 1817 largie and mercury

Awesome finds, MK. That largie is a beauty. HH 😎

    New D2

You’ll like it a lot after getting familiar with the menu system and its characteristics in the field. Which coil did you opt for, Listener? I have the 9” and like it a lot.

    Bucket lister with some chaos

Beautiful coin. Glad you found it, and someone else did not. I keep an empty pill bottle handy with my detecting gear for those top pocket finds.

    Managed to get one today

Nice find, OPT. I usually end up digging up 1965 dimes. 😏

Loving the Deus 2 on the Beach!

Awesome finds, David. That cross is especially pretty. Way to go!

Solid 26 turned out to be a nice high end pocket knife!

Nice find, gfatizzi. All the pocket knives I’ve found are old and pretty crusty. Still like finding them though, with the scouting knives as my faves. I was only lucky enough to find one nice pocket knife that spent 20+ years underneath the edge of an elevated shed. It escaped rainfall and...

    Hello from north central Ohio.

Well here's something I just found out today when I called to get an update on my cz20 repair..

Sounds like the CZ20 is still a decent contender on the beach. I have a pristine CZ20-8" that I bought about 17 years ago, and used it for a few fresh water hunts at seeded events. I never made it to a salt water beach to use it . Now at the age I am, probably won't; I might be interested in...

Found a nice old part of my park to hunt.

WOW, nice finds. Wish I had some old parks near me.

My first Fall field hunt of the year

Congrats on the finds, Jayhop. That walking half is a beauty. Prolly lots more there. I walked around an old farm that was once the site of a pick your own orchard. Found nothing but scrap. What detector were, you hunting with?

Flushing coins out of the ground cover and what a surprise I received! My "time machine" brought me back 220 years 😮

Awesome finds. Looks like you found a hot spot in that park. I'd go back there for some more fun...

    Settle Down Dude

After swinging both the D2-9” and Apex for the last year and a half, I like swinging the light of weight a D2-9” and the lack of a coil cable. I’m not sure I would want to go back to a heavier machine. Time will tell how well the Manticore compares to the latest releases of competitive...

    GTI 2500

Had one, weighed a ton to swing. Uses lots of batteries, too. Imaging works pretty well though, making it a good coin machine for clean areas. If you don’t use the imaging ability though, I’d get something else. The Apex is much lighter, has rechargeable battery and Z-Lynk ability for wireless...
