    It's been 13 years

Welcome back. I got the 600 a few months back and used it until winter stopped me. It was a real eye opener on what multi-frequency could do for me in my ground. With an optional carbon shaft and the small 6" coil, it is as light as light can be. I have found more silver coins in the Fall of...

    Some like it HOT

I'm looking at the current temp here: -10 F or -23 Celsius. Kind of on the chilly side...

    How About this Comparison

I'd certainly like to see a test or several tests between the Legend and the Equinox. I've been using a Nokta for years and loving it but it can't match the Equinox I bought in late 2021 in finding silver coins in iron and bottle cap infested sites. I'm sure the multi freq legend was designed to...

    Fisher F22 repair

Fisher not willing to help you ? I find that hard to believe. Did you buy your F22 from an authorized dealer / are you sure it is legit ? Did someone at Fisher Labs ask you to send it in when you explained the issue ?

This Legend is already getting my attention

They just seem to care more for the end user than any other company I know. How often do you see actual company representatives taking the time to speak or write to the users in other forums ?

    Equinox getting dumped

I prefer my Nokta's "language" but ultimately, I can't argue with success. The Nox performed substantially better in the areas where I like to detect and I ended up with a lot more silver than I did last year with the Nokta. I like the tones on the new Legend though and I might try it out...

    Equinox 600 encore

I can still see tiny spiders hanging from branches here and there when the sun comes out. I don't know how they do it. Apart from that, nothing ! No flying bugs at least. That's the main reason I can't detect the woods in summer. I get eaten alive.

Your Equinox silver count for the year?

23 silver dimes and 7 silver quarters in two months ! Unfortunately winter shut me down before I could find more. I'm totally addicted to silver and I feel withdrawal symptoms whenever I get back home with copper only. It happened only once with the Equinox so far which is unheard of for me...

More Silvers Today and another spill

Fantastic haul. Coins in great condition as well.

    Equinox 600 encore

Haha. The sod could not be cut for sure. The first 2-3 inches freeze up pretty fast when there is no isolation especially in sandy soil. Since I detect in the woods mainly, the thick carpet of fallen leaves plus the thin layer of snow prevents the ground from freezing (up to a certain extent). I...

XP DEUS II VS EQUINOX ON A NAIL TEST...

I'm not that fond of air tests either. I find them interesting to look at. Still, part of me is itching to get my hands on a Deus II. I've never had anything by XP. I'd like to try it out where I play. It is literally a bed of nails in some areas and oftentimes a mix of dense debris including...

    Equinox 600 encore

It's a great machine. It thrives in places that are super polluted with nails and any other junk (in my case rusty nails and rusty beer caps). You might be surprised at what you can find in places where the easy targets have all been retrieved.

XP DEUS II VS EQUINOX ON GOLD COIN NAIL TEST...

Anybody tried the Coiltek 5 X 10 ? In my areas, I can't use the 11" effectively because of dense brush. I use the 6" but if its worse than the 11" at unmasking that is bad news.

By then the Equinox and Deus II will be old news.

I have the MGC 5 X 10 on it almost all the time and I like it a lot.

    Equinox 600 encore

Thought last time would be the very last hunt of 2021 but I got out again yesterday despite the cool temp of -6 Celsius or 21 F. This is cool here, not cold ! Anyway I spent 4 hours trying to find a spot that would still pay up. After 3 hours with a few old pennies in hand I thought this time I...

    Equinox getting dumped

I like the buttons on it though. They look solid and built to last as opposed to the thin membrane type that is used on so many models today including the Nox.
