    For all At Pro owners

Another ladies diamond ring that rings up near the tin foil range. My buddy found this ring in the water for a lady and after checking it with an At pro, it rang up 45-47.

Avoiding those tin foil signals on an At Pro

It is always wise to dig those low 40 signals. This ring came in at 43. Must have been grandma's ring because the bottom of the band was paper thin from wear and tear.

How it return a class ring

My hunting partner found a woman's class ring from the University of Kentucky, 1993 and the initials are on the inside. From your experience, what is the best way to find the owner of this ring?

Retrieving targets from muck and weeds

Instead of fighting with all the weeds and muck while digging with your water scoop, I use my orange pin-pointer and my hand. You can zero in on the target and retrieve it much faster.

Made a couple from Ohio happy!

Took me only about 10 minutes to find this ring in the sand dunes with my At Pro. If rang up a solid 66 and I knew it had to be his gold ring. I let Matt have the honor of retrieving his ring by running his fingers thru the sand.

Inside look at the At Pro control box

Has anybody pulled the faceplate off your At Pro and took a look inside the control box. I understand there is a rubber ring seal around the faceplate that seals the unit from water. Wondering if this seal ever needs to be replaced. Just curious, send pictures if you have them.

    Pinpointing with the At Pro

Has anybody found this to be true or am I dreaming up something that is not there. By passing the At Pro coil over a target using the pinpoint button, if I get a short blip of sound the target is probably a good one and if it sings or is a longer sound when swinging the coil over the target it...

    Homemade sand and water scoops

I would like to see some homemade scoops made out of aluminum, stainless steel or just plain steel. I know you have them out there, give us a chance to see them. Particularly interested in hole design, handles and handle angles, and the gauge of the metal.

    The good and the bad

A good day at the lake but this is a sign of the times. No gold and the younger crowd is changing over to titanium and tungsten.

Frozen shaft on your At Pro

Could not budge the shafts apart by hand so had to use a little more power. I took a drill bit the size of one of the holes in the upper shaft, put it thru the shaft and then put the drill bit into the bench vice. Put a wrench on the end (lower shaft) where the bolt connects to the coil...

    2 guys had fun today

[attachment 318371 DSCF00071.JPG][attachment 318372 DSCF0011.JPG]This turned into a lot of work digging all these targets, but OH what fun! We went looking for that gold ring to the left of the SS cross and found all of...

Carrying replacement batteries in the field

I use an "Altoid Tin Box" and use napkins to cushion and protect the battery terminals.

    Request to find ring

Took me only 20 minutes to find this ring for the lady. It is still a big thrill seeing that thing in the scoop. It rang up at 45 on the At Pro.

Water in the Control box of the At Pro

My At Pro got water in the unit at a depth of 9ft. My friend and I were hookah diving in a boat slip looking for a class ring. We measured the depth before we went down and were diving for about one hour. I got home and first noticed the water in the unit. Turned it on and the target markers...

    Detecting high quality Stainless Steel

I have a friend who makes his own ice cream. He has 4 (3 gal. tubs) made up but he lost a small stainless steel clip from his equipment and he thinks it may be in the ice cream tubs. We tested another stainless steel clip like this one with the metal detector and there is no response, no...

    Tesoro Lobo

My brother-in-law has just moved to the Sun City, AZ area and wants to know what metal detector is commonly used in that area. I was told by a person who lives in that area that the Tesoro Lobo is a favorite mid range detector in that area. The area has hot rocks and this detector is able to...

    At Pro O-rings replacement

This will depend on your use in water, fresh or saltwater, but is there a recommended time to replace these O-rings? Also, what are the sizes of these for the coil, earphones and battery compartment?

Best Florida detector for around $200.

Friends asked me for advice on getting their son a metal detector for Xmas in the price range of around $200. The son lives in Florida and what detector in this price range would be best for Florida beaches. I have no experience with salt water beaches. Some suggestions: Fisher F-2 Garrett...

At Pro sniffs out white gold

Three of us drove 100 miles this morning to look for a lost diamond wedding ring. After 3 hours of hunting I found it in about 3 ft of water and about 100 ft. from the shore. They had pulled their boat up into the shallows to swim and the ring slipped off her finger. It was a good day for...

Conversion to dive with your At Pro

Thanks to BootyHunter and Beau O. who gave me these ideas. Use the lower shaft of your At Pro and drill two holes in the upper end of that shaft to connect your control box. Note, one side you drill about 1/4 in holes to fit the control box posts and the other side just big enough for the...
