    Some of the guys I hunt with that do a lot of thorns and cactus, use a piece of 2" Plastic tubing slit down one side then popped right over the wire and shaft. Works like a charm. I saw a guy use his wife's plastic wrap once, boy she was Not Happy!:D

    So are drones just a "cool toy" at this point, or do they have a legitimate use for metal detectors and nuggetshooters? I can see how they might be able to spot contact zones in the goldfields, or cellar holes in winter months, but is the cost justified?

    Bought a new Minelab Vanquish 540 pro pack

    I only have the 12" coil. My personal opinion is the 10" is not needed. The 12" goes deep and has reasonable separation, and the 8" is perfect for shallower, trashier parks.
