Another drastic price reduction for the Nokta Legend.

I have to disagree you say quote "But depth isnt all there is to it, not by a long shot". Actually depth is everything , More depth will equate to many more finds coming out from deep underground. Treasures of high value. Coins made of gold and silver. Coins are in the plenty at 12 -18 inches...

with regrets, I sold my CTX3030 after 11 months.

Thats good if you enjoy swinging a heavy detector. Personally i find heavy detectors ok for an hours hunt , maybe 2 hours.

Another drastic price reduction for the Nokta Legend.

Maybe not enough legends been sold , why drop the price if some thing is selling well. Good detector the legend BUT the market is flooded now with metal detectors. Plenty of buyers though because as soon as one person quits the hobby because of all the junk another hunter joins the hobby. The...

with regrets, I sold my CTX3030 after 11 months.

There is no advantage at all in upgrading from a nox to a ctx. Only the gps feature . No extra depth at all. The nox is better. Nox is low quality build though , thats sad.

Legend headphones frozen , green light on all the time

Would this cause the power switch on the phones to not work though. I can't switch the headphones off. The switch is doing nothing to cut the power. Faulty switch possibly. These headphones are poor quality cheap builds.

Legend headphones frozen , green light on all the time

I will wait for the battery to drain off , how many hours would it take though. One led won't be sucking hardly any juice out of the battery

Legend headphones frozen , green light on all the time

The headphone power switch won't switch the green light off. The headphones seem to be locked or unresponsive . All I have is a green led.

    Real world battery life

We have established that the legend is very thirsty for power in 4KHz. I don't believe the back light will use use any more than 10% extra power when switched on though. i always have back light on.

    Real world battery life

I am not sure why i don't get as much run time as expected with the external battery pack fitted. I find the external battery pack to be not that much better than just using the internal battery . 10000 Mah. Now i only connect the external pack power to the detector when the internal battery...

    Real world battery life

I find it's best not to have the external battery plugged in all the time , having the external battery fitted all the time i only get 8 hours total run time!

    Legend vs Manticore

I am sure it will be a deep Minelab make the most profits on detector sales by far. Metal detectors are cheap to manufacture and the profits are massive for the manufacture. I think most of the cost to the manufacturer is in designing and developing the detector. The circuit board inside the...

    What frequencies have you ran

I searched a trashy sport field today, i was using 40 Khz in field mode with recovery speed set at 7 , all i can say it was smoking out Cupro Nickel coins from amongst trash like there was no tomorrow, personally in trashy sites i find the 4 KHZ and 40 Khz to be good performers. My channel is...

Considering a Legend and wanting some feed back from those that have used them

I have about 10 hours use in so far on the legend , no problems at all. I don't want to make this into a review of the legend but all i can say is that it's finding things in area's i have hard with other makes. My own opinion is that it is a fantastic detector , and to be honest i have to give...

    Legend External Battery Pack

I have fitted the external rechargeable battery pack to my legend , it adds some nice counter weight to the rear of the detector. I have just 1 question though , is it safe to keep the external battery pack connected to the detector when the machine is NOT in use or should i disconnect it.

    Manticore 50% increase in power.

I think it is safe to say that a 50% increase in transmit energy will not equate to 50% more depth, so i have 2 questions , 1 how much more depth can we expect from the manticore over the equinox with the stated 50% increase in transmit power that the manticore has. How much in percentage depth...

THE NEW MINELAB IS CALLED THE MANTICORE , IT'S A NEW MULTI IQ. LOOKS LIKE A MUCH STRONGER VERSION OF THE NOX. BUT IT'S NOT A NOX!
