What does everyone hunt for anymore

I think it is a gradually dying hobby for sure , excluding beaches ,some beaches though i have tried detecting on seemed barren of finds . The fact is inland sites are getting depleted of good finds worth digging, Good Pickings are far far less nowadays. Too many detectors have been sweeping...

Taking others with you Metal Detecting

I watch a lot of paystreak super freak video's on you tube and i have noticed he takes "jewelry jim" with him on many hunts plus another guy has joined up and hunts with them. It seems jewelry jim and the other guy who has started going with paystreak are filling there own pockets now with GOLD...

Legend headphones frozen , green light on all the time

The Headphones are now working fine , i had to wait till the battery went flat on the phones which takes 5 weeks. Re charged them and now they work ok. I can't understand why they malfunctioned in the first place though.

NOKTA MAKRO (LEGEND) GETTING SUED - PATENT INFRINGEMENT

I am a ex user and owner of an Equinox 800. I did plenty of depth tests comparing the response of deep coins comparing CTX AND NOX 800 . My own tests convinced me that the NOX did have the edge on most depth tests.

NOKTA MAKRO (LEGEND) GETTING SUED - PATENT INFRINGEMENT

In my own depth test area (local fields) for sure the legend will give a response on most coin targets at max depth that my CTX won't even give a whisper on. I have video's to prove it as well. the legend is out performing the CTX3030.

    Brand new Legend

Advice for anyone buying a brand new legend from a dealer , you must tell him that you want the lastest software update on your machine. Otherwise your buying "old stock".

NOKTA MAKRO (LEGEND) GETTING SUED - PATENT INFRINGEMENT

I agree with you dig dog. I think Minelab might just be a little jealous of the CTX Beater (LEGEND) . The legend sales might just drop off a bit soon with the two new noxes hitting the market now.

Who is going to buy an Equinox anymore

AND I WILL GET A 900 EVENTUALLY. The prices won't drop here for a long time thats guaranteed.

    Equinox 900 vs Legend

I agree with you DigDog is it really worth it for one inch more depth , the cost here is £1800 , which today is a lot of money . I think it's not worth all that money for a very small increase in finds , The 900 looks to better value , but even that is eleven hundred pounds here. I have watched...

Who is going to buy an Equinox anymore

Here in the Uk the prices of new Minelabs are fixed . The dealers only sell at RRP Prices . One dealer told me he can't sell for less than the RRP or minelab will cut off his supply of minelabs. I thought price FIXING WAS ILLEGAL too, In fact most detectors sold are price fixed here.

Who is going to buy an Equinox anymore

Many of my Gold Ring Finds were found with The Minelab explorer 2 and SE. I have found gold rings with XP DEUS 1 and C-Scope too. I never have found to date a single gold ring or silver ring with the legend. Just bad luck probably.

Sub £300 detector with amazing performance

I think he lives some where close to Rochdale In Lancashire. He is like me he digs mostly old pennys. I have dug bucket fulls of the old junkers since i was 14 when i started treasure hunting. Try listening to proper broad scottish accent i promise you that you won't understand a single...

    Equinox 900 Compared to Manticore

There is a saying in the metal detecting world " A LITTLE EXTRA IS A LOT" The little extra sure is a lot.

Who is going to buy an Equinox anymore

In the last 10 years i have found 2 or 3 virgin detecting sites , one field gave me 400 Pounds in lost coinage plus silver jewels. The other site was a footpath loaded with silver coins every where. I always get the cupro nickels and gold rings that the amateurs walk over. One swimming spot...

    Equinox 900 vs Legend

I have just read a post from nasa tom saying that the manticore is only 5 MM deeper than the nox on a buried 14 inch dime.. That's 0.2 inches deeper.

    Equinox 900 Compared to Manticore

That sounds like an accurate test to me. His ground must be pretty mild to get that depth though. Here in my local fields i would probably get 7 inches maybe 8 inches on a good day. The ground is the decider of how deep you will go.

    Minelab Manticore

He must be very keen to metal detect , that beach is 270 miles away from his home. He will need some thick gold to cover the costs.

NOKTA MAKRO (LEGEND) GETTING SUED - PATENT INFRINGEMENT

I often wonder how these fake gpz minelabs actually perform. I heard they do well but no one will ever post information. I wonder how many fakes there are out there.

    Equinox 900 vs Legend

I can say one thing for sure , if the 900 is a better performer than the 800 it would worth using. The build quality looks to be very much improved over the 600 's and 800's too. The selling price in the UK is going to be around £1300 to £1400 from what i hear. If that was the price i would...

    Equinox 900 vs Legend

There is more to the 900 than just an expanded vdi scale. I have heard claims from a well known tester "iffy signals" that the Nox 900 is 1 to 2 inches deeper than a 600 or 800. Plus it's faster by quite a bit. Should that be true i would be upgrading to a 900 for sure. The most annoying bit...
