    WS6 will not power on

Soldering to a battery is not an easy task. A good amount of heat is required to solder to a battery. I think most batteries are spot welded together with a wire or metal strip. I made a temporary connection once by soldering a metal washer to wires and using a neodymium magnet to attach the...

This post has sent me down the rabbit hole looking at air rifles of larger calibers. 🤔

    Fun gun

CB .22s have been overlooked by many due to their lower velocity. They have taken game often quietly and effectively. 🤫 Automatics will not reliably cycle this ammo. Use a, lever, pump or bolt gun for reliability of cycling.

    Can someone help identify

Just a guess from the photo it might be part from a large plow or from construction equipment. Can you supply some details about where it was found without disclosing the location?

    Fun gun

Big bore is an interesting idea. I have looked at the regulated models that are capable of making multiple shots without refilling the air tank. I guess it comes down to what you plan to doing with it will influence the caliber selection. I have been looking at .30 and .357/9 air power for...

    Any ham radio hobbyist here?

I realize that I do have a severe lack of knowledge about this subject. Sorry for the uninformed comments and questions I am about to ask. Recent events have made me think about a radio. I think the information was for POC for long distance communication. Sounded to good to be true. The...

    Fun gun

That looks like a lot of fun . I’m a PCP air rifle guy so I get the fun of shooting targets with a airgun. Full auto😁 would bring a smile to my face no matter how hard I tried not to smile. Air rifles are fun for me because I can shoot them many places where a firearm is not as welcome or...

Opps fat fingered my keyboard on the above post. 🤨 Having worked in the technology repair world until retirement I developed some opinions about advanced technology. The end user decides what they want to use. Often I discovered that the most advanced technology devices are not necessarily the...

    Short hunt this morning

That is definitely a find that would make my day. A civil war bullet is on my list also. Being in Ohio we do not have the same opportunity as other states to find CW artifacts. Good luck with your search for CW finds. A big camp was in C bus during the CW much of the area was turned into housing...

    Any idea's what this is.

🤔 It does resemble a fishing spoon. The thickness looks to be too much, not what I would expect from fishing spoons. It also resembles the butt plate on a shotgun or rifle. Possibly hand made replacement or very old forged piece. Guessing

An odd mixture of items and help requested from Civil War ammunition buffs

I think the item to the right of the fishing reel is a valve stem from a model T Ford.

    A cool little paperweight

Could be 50 caliber bullets. Heavy and large. Practice along the coast was likely more common than we think. WW2 preparedness training likely sent many rounds into the ocean. Great finds and sharing them was good will for the hobby.
