    Change coil charging clamp

    Go ahead and create a monster. Why bother, just dremel or file away the edges of the coil cover so the clip can slip over the edges. Might have to add a small bit of Vaseline. That’s what I did. No more problem! You’ve already wasted more time texting about it. Could’ve fixed it already.

    Dandy button from last weekend

    That looks like a coat button. Does it have a shank? I once found a 43 half that had been domed and the shank they had soldered on the tail side was broken off. I guess it would be a dandy button. Yours is unusual and a nice find.

    On coil availability per reply from BobOso. I checked with Fort Bedford, they only got two and they filled preorders with them. So Got on the list. Made a trip to Florida over Thanksgiving and went to a detector store in Tampa. Got the same speel. They are few and far between just like a year...

    Bart is great to deal with. I hope you got the 11” coil. I started with the 9” but found I like the 11” more.

    Deus 2 single frequency mode.

    Go to mono program, select menu, go to frequency, usin plus key go to 25. Select top left button shift, then it will say scan, use plus button and click to 6, push return and u will see 28.5 freq. Hope this helps.

    I have both and prefer the D2. It is lighter and Buick to jump out and go detecting. The Manticore has a learning curve ,I am still learning because it is my first Minelab. It is also heavier. So far can’t use earbuds but accessories are coming. Deus is cheaper to.

    Gaudy copper ring

    Thanks for commenting and thought it was a good find to share. Was using the Manticore in an old park looking for deep old stuff. Only other find was a 1945 wheatie.

    I found this thing ring yesterday park hunting. It was really dingy and bent over from being stepped on. Anyway after brushing it with steel wool and straightening it it actually looks somewhat attractive I thought. Amazing what a craftsman can do with cheap metal. Thanks for looking.
