    Cant help with the time period other than to say it's old. If your finding surface finds like that I encourage you to join our hobby and purchase a detector. No telling what you might find in that field.

    Legend

    Tom, I think Legend can be as easy to learn. The stock programs work well and they make the machine basically turn on and go. Once you get comfortable with the detector you can start fiddling with all the buttons and make as many adjustments as you like.

    Using Beach Mode Md & Mw

    I have not used the Legend on a salt beach so this is just a guess. The Multi Wet setting is going to have alot more filtering built in to the program to counteract the salt. Multi Dry will not have as much filtering. Sometimes, even dry beach areas have alot of black sand etc...that need a...
