    My take on the Deus1.

Great finds. I have been using the Deus 1 for several years now and it will probably be my last detector. I use the deep program with the 11" X35 coil and change frequencies depending on soil conditions. I try to run at 17.8 but, in some fields I have to drop down in some spots. I hunt fields...

    Two hunts, Two 1812 Buttons

I see what you are talking about. In line from about the 7 o'clock to 1 0'clock position.

Six Silver Day Without a Detector.

Most Coin Stars are located near the return desk in the bigger Walmarts.

Six Silver Day Without a Detector.

Yeah, but I did have to bend over a little! 😁

Six Silver Day Without a Detector.

This close to Christmas, there should be more finds at the Coin Stars.

Six Silver Day Without a Detector.

I took a shirt back to Walmart today and passed the Coin Star on the way, but it was empty. After returning the shirt, my wife and I did a little shopping. On the way out we passed the same Coin Star again. This time there was a handful of coins in the return tray. I scooped them out and when I...

    Horse inplelements

I would keep them. They could easily be CW period and may have seen use hooked to a team of horses pulling a load of supplies for the troops.

    Hoping…

Hope this small array will hold you for a little while. The last three pictures are of a common 3 ringer, but it is encased in Antietam battlefield dirt. My departed brother Joe found it back in the late 70s-early 80s when there was still battlefield land in private hands and he had permission...

    Bit Boss

Nice find. I think I may have one stashed away from almost 50 years of hunting but my memory isn't what it used to be.

    Coil charging clip replacement?

I found two original clips for $20.00. If they last as long as my first one I will be happy.

    Coil charging clip replacement?

I know there are a few aftermarket charging clips for the Deus 1 coils so, what one do you recommend? or, is there a way to put a spring in the original one? My original clip lasted 8 years.

    Silver coins

Thanks for the replies. If I get time in the near future, I will see what variations of these coins I have and post them.

    Silver coins

I just found out that the three cent nickel is not silver. It is a copper nickel alloy. I will take it out of this display and put it in one with other non silver US coins.

    Silver coins

I have been blessed, in my 50 years of detecting to find just about every denomination of US minted silver coins. All of the coins seen in the following pictures were found by me either in Maryland or Georgia. One exception is the twenty cent piece that was found by one of my brothers, most...

Never seen an eagle button like this one...

I think your button is an early militia one and would date about 1815-1820, maybe as early as 1810.

For all the guys and ( gals ) who have been detecting for a while ( like me almost 30 yrs ) what haven't you found yet.....

A gold coin has eluded me for 50 years. I have been fortunate to find a lot of silver coins over the years but, a gold one is still at the top of my bucket list.

Tell us how long you been Metal Detecting

I started in 1973 after I got out of the Navy. I used my older brother's spare Whites 4900 until I saved up enough to get one of my own.

Help with an Eagle Button (again)?

I found one at a Spanish/American war camp and was told it was part of a bracelet.

    Silver and gold

My buddy took me to a well hunted site this afternoon, but I managed to pull three good finds in the 4 hours we were there. About 5 minutes after we got there I found a 1789 half real, then about 20 minutes later I got the 1838 dime.About 30 minutes before we quit I found the small cuff link or...
