Hard to switch back and forth between ...

discrimination and Pin-point. Old problem, anything new? I recently returned to the Sovereign/BBS fold, because I love the machine, that's why! I have mounted my box/coil on a new Plugger 2 piece pole, and added the extension to the tail end. It moves the weight further back, and therefore feels...

    WTB: Meter for Sovereign

It can be any of the ones from recent years. Might even consider the 550 model. Let me know... Chuck Smith St. Francisville, LA

    I'm Back...

After trying to love a Minelab Explorer SEPro and then an E-Trac, it was just too much. I've ordered a Sov GT. I got my first Sov back in 1994, and have had 4 of them. Why do I keep trying something else, when i know that the Sov will do everything that I want it to do, simply and quickly...

Any E-Trac relic hunters out there?

Doesn't seem to be the # 1 machine for relics, but it may be that ya'll are just keeping very quiet. I know how relic hunters are- quiet about anything that might give their secrets away. I don't blame you! Chuck Smith St. Francisville, LA

Any E-Trac relic hunters out there?

That's my thing, and I'd like to kick it around with others of that same warped frame of mind. Chuck Smith St. Francisville, LA

    Trade/sell E-Trac in good shape

Seriously thinking about trading or selling a current model Minelab e-trac in good shape. Everything works well, no issues except that it still seems somewhat mysterious to me, a little more than I detailed than I thought it would be. Most wanted machine: A Sovereign GT with a couple of coils...

    Question: Has anybody tried

Has anybody tried any of Sergei's E-Trac settings in real life? His Explorer settings worked well, and I am curious about the E-Trac doings... Chuck Smith

    Load Question

Sometimes I start my machine and it asks me if I want to load quickstart. I move it to the yes setting, but nothing happens. When I try to move from there to a screen, it just beeps. Am I not waiting long enough for it to load or what? The manual is not overly clear on this. Thanks in advance...

    Need info on Garmin 62st

Bought an Garmin 62st for my wife and I to use for trips, metal detecting, genealogy work, etc. When I set it up initially, I think I made some goof-ups. Is there a way to return it to it's fresh from the factory setting and re-set it the correct way. I am having a little trouble understanding...

    Wanted: Indian Head pennies

I would like to buy 2 or 3 bronze indian head pennies in good shape. I am taken with the beauty of Bronze, and would like to have a couple. Date not important- appearance is everything! Let me know, and if possible, pics... Rev. Chuck Smith St. Francisville, LA

    Oh, Mama, it's hot..

Hotter that the hinges of hell down here! Very little rain, higher humidity than one might think, I'm good for about one hour after sunrise then I have to pack it in. 20 years ago, when I was younger and even more full of it, we thought nothing of going out in the middle of July, august...

    Magellan 310 GPS Info?

I have a Magellan 310 GPS that I bought a couple of years ago. Needless to say, it lacks a fair amount of abilities, etc. Is it still any good, or do I need to unload it and find a newer/better unit, and If so, which one? I'm trying to keep it under $200-300. Chuck Smith St. Francisville, LA

    Handle angle?

I keep reading of the new angle of the handle to the shaft. How many degrees from straight is it? How compare to an Explorer SePro? Chuck Smith St. Francisville, LA

    Looking for a used E-Trac

I know that this is probably not the best way to do this, but I'm not having luck any other way. I am looking for a used E-Trac in good shape. I can't afford a new one right out, so I am looking for that one person who might like to go back to an Explorer Se Pro, plus some bucks. Yeah, it's...

Thinking of trading an Explorer se pro for an E-trac; what do I need to know?

Absolutely nothing wrong with Explorers- I like them. But I have a severe case of the "Envies" (Pronounced onvies in cajun french) for an E-trac. Some of Ya'll talk to me- good/bad/otherwise. Inquiring minds want to know. Also, would like to find someone who might be ready to get away from their...

    Credit to Bryce....

I have been tempted (Sorely, I might add) to leave Bryce's setting as described in Andy's book. But the truth is, I found only one coin using the stock settings. I changed it to Bryce's handy dandy patented coin killer setting and since then, I have found 8-10 coins at depths from 10 inches to a...
