    NEW EQ 700 & 900 Just Announced 99 TID

My 800 is here to stay with my ATPro for backup. The 800 is almost 2 years out of warranty ( 2/2018 ) and if the control pod goes south it's $425 for a replacement pod that may very well be a leaker. That $425 is going toward a 900.

    NEW EQ 700 & 900 Just Announced 99 TID

The manual and specs are on the Minelab web site. Now we just need the numbers following the $ sign filled in.

    Minelab Manticore

Smart marketing. Nobody is buying a MF detector in this class while Minelab has everyone holding their breath in anticipation.

    Ground balance

Really depends where you're detecting. I was out on an old rugby pitch 2 days ago and could tell by the chattery signals that the ground had more mineralization than most places I go. Did a ground grab and came up as 22 repeatable +/- a digit or so. I could tell that the soil was fill an inch...

So I'm wondering, I'm still getting a grip on this nox 600 detector... Is there a benefit using

Park 1 Multi is my go to mode for most of my detecting. Great for coins and rings. While trying to find a missing gold earring & using the remaining earring to see which mode worked best on the ground (not air test), I found Park 2 to be the best out of all the detector modes for small gold...

Test comparatif Minelab Manticore vs XP Deus 2

Such a disappointment they didn't put an Equinox into the mix for the test. Still, I feel badly for the new D2 owners. The MTC does look like a beast.

I'm not loving the grip on the Equinox

Try a slice of swimming pool noodle.

    Minelab Manticore

    Correct that. $1360.
  9. D

    Minelab Manticore

Yep, typo, should have been $1360 round numbers

My 600 is making strange sounds like its overloading

Does your Nox do this in all detect modes? Long shot, but have you cleaned out the coil & coil cover? Have you tried the Factory Reset? My Nox is a little over 4 years old and the battery is holding up like new with hundreds of hours of detecting and many hours of submerged fresh & saltwater...

    LS Pelso headphones Feedback

I've had the Pelsos for a little over 3 years and am very happy with the sound and construction. I hunt fresh and saltwater when not dry land hunting. Waterproof phones are a necessity when hunting rough water even if you don't get in far as spray from waves, especially saltwater will...

    Coil Stiffeners?

I bought a coil stiffener and it was a total waste of money. Both coil ears broke. Fortunately, my coil was still under warranty at the time and was replaced by Minelab. I asked thr Ft Bedford repair guys about the coil ear breakage problem. They said over tightening the coil bolt appears to...

    Best waterproof headphones

    LS Pelsos. Plenty loud.

    Paper Manual

You can easily download the manual from Minelab's web site. It's a .pdf file. You can print it out using the Adobe “Booklet” option. It's small enough to fit in your glove compartment.

Broke my Coil ear AGAIN!!! Attempting rear with Super Glue

Both of my coil ears broke at the same time last year. I was using one of those coil ear stiffeners at the time. Obviously didn't work. Would never use one again. Called Minelab and they replaced the coil under warranty. I asked the repair guy why all these coil ears were breaking and if...

    Another 3.0 update question

Reverting back to version 2 firmware from version 3 is just as easy as it was going from version 2 to version 3. All the previous firmware versions are available with the latest Minelab updater software, which already have if you did the version 3 update.

    Another 3.0 update question

Absolutely. With version 3 depth indications are way off (compared to previous versions) and TIDs have shifted from V 2 and previous versions. These differences and the fact that the addition of 4kHz did nothing for me were enough for me to revert back to version 2. Happy now!

Anyone had a charging problem with the Nox? My Brother in law's blinks very fast and doesn't seem to be charging.

Yes, I had the same problem. I made a video of the blinking pattern. Called Minelab, sent it in for repair. They were unable to duplicate the problem, but the video convinced them there was a problem. They replaced the control pod under warranty. Be sure you are using a good charger rated at...
