    Equinox 800

Get some Gorilla Weld heavy duty 2-part epoxy (Home Depot, etc.) which works well with ABS plastic (which is what the Nox is made of) and try to work some of the epoxy into the crack. You may be able to save your control pod. I wouldn't submerge it though.

Hi, My name is Artie, and I found my way back.

Any cell phone type charger with a USB port that is rated for 2.0 amps will work. Everything you need to know about the 800 is covered in the manual.

Xterra Elite compared to Equinox 900

I recall iffy signals, in one of his recent videos, saying something to the effect that the XTE uses the same processor as the 700 and the XTE is basically a 700 without a few of the more advanced settings. Considering the Expedition Pack comes with 2 coils and the wireless phones, that's a...

    X-Terra Pro software update 1.0

FWIW, I took my wife's XTP outside, ran the CNC for several scan cycles then released the Accept/Reject button. With the coil on the ground (fairly mild ground with lawn), I turned the Sensitivity to max 25 and with the volume also turned up the XTP was almost dead silent. Just a very faint beep...

    X-Terra Pro software update 1.0

EMI, which can be a contributor to unstable/noisy Target ID (TID) readings. Typical EMI sources could be cell towers, cell phones, restaurant paging systems, alarm systems, electric fences, powerlines, even buried power cables, etc. to name a few. You get the idea. Ground conditions are caused...

    X-Terra Pro software update 1.0

Per the release info, Continuous Noise cancel does repeating scans to find the best noise free channel to use for detecting. A regular noise cancel did 1 scan when you pushed the Accept/Reject button. Continuous Noise scan starts when the button is pressed and held down and continuously rescans...

    X-Terra Pro software update 1.0

Minelab released the first XTP software update. https://www.minelab.com/anzea/x-terra-pro-software-upgrade?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR2l9CvxjCYOtObJXexrQKR-X11QIhImNpqQvUsQcf8Fnh-XI7Zbm3-vjy0_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw

    Help me understand why...

Do you have your cell phone turned on? If so, put it in airplane mode or just turn it off. Have you done a noise cancel? Are you near power lines or other sources of EMI? Does the XTP act like that in other locations? Pull the coil protector off and clean it and the coil voids - there may be...

What are the differences between the X-Terra Pro and the Elite?

This may shed some light on your question… I hope it's large enough to read. Won't know until it's posted.

    New Exterra Elite

The new Nokta Triple Score looks like the answer for those of us not happy with the huge TID range. It's basically a simplified Legend and it comes with real Bluetooth headphones and a second coil for a very few more dollars.

    ML80 charge port

This video should help get you inside the headphones. It's pretty straight forward.

    ML80 charge port

It probably got pushed inside of the ear piece. Try removing the ear cushion and look inside. The ear cushions are replaceable and are fairly easy to pry off. You might have to glue the charging port back in place.

Nox 11" Coil On The X-Terra Pro

I tried my Nox 800 coil on my wife's XTP and didn't see any difference. Lots of “chasing rainbows” searching for the magic, but it still comes down the the person swinging the detector and how well that person has come to know the detector.

    Xterra wired phones

You'll probably need to make the wiring change noted in the link to your wired headphones to get them to work. I remember a lot of folks ran into this same problem when the Equinoxes came on the scene in early 2018 and were able to solve it with the wiring change. Good luck WW.

    Xterra wired phones

Read Steve's post on the Detector Prospector forum which explains the wiring needed for wired headphones. This also applies to the XTP. https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/6966-official-minelab-headphone-adapter-dongle-for-equinox/#comment-71618

You'll have that XTP paid off in no time!

Using garrett ms3 headphones on xterra pro

I started out with the 1Mii BT transmitter and Sound Blaster JAM V2 BT headphones (all from the big A online store) and that worked with the XTP. The thing I wasn't happy with was the BT transmitter picked up a small amount of interference coming from the control pod. It became annoying enough...

Using garrett ms3 headphones on xterra pro

If you're buying the Garrett MS3 & transmitter setup new, you could buy the Minelab ML85 BT headphones for about $1 more. The ML85s are great and there are no cables, etc. to get snagged in the woods.

Looking for a backup unit for SALT water hunting.

Hard to beat the X-Terra Pro when some dealers are selling it for $219. My wife has used hers in FL on the dry and the wet and it performed very well. She didn't take it in the saltwater due to no waterproof headphones at the time. The only down side is you need to buy the Minelab ML85 BT...
