    Pinpointer Compatibility

FYI, my new Minelab Pro-Find came in last week. I did not have much time, so I gave it a test in the yard. As many of you have already discovered, the T2 will go crazy in the presence of the Garrett Propointer. Not so with the Minelab Pro-Find! There was no interference at all! It also...

The constant struggle for more depth...what do I do?

One thing I have always noticed since getting my first V3 a few years back, and still with a new V3i purchased late last year is that no matter what setting I have for the coil size, targets often display depths shallower than they actually are. Many coins have read 4 inches and were actually...

Big Gold! A First For Me!

The factory default is Coin & Jewelry which should be good enough for both. You just need to raise some of the settings which is easily done in the live menu. RX Gain and Discriminate (Sensitivity) are the only adjustments you need to make. Just save the settings and you never have to worry...

    A New Detector From White's???

I have been hearing for a while about a new detector from White's. I am guessing it will be along the lines of an AT Pro or a CTX3030. Has anyone heard anything about a possible new waterproof discriminating detector with a display from White's?

    The new White's Detector

I have been hearing for a while about a new detector from White's. I am guessing it will be along the lines of an AT Pro or a CTX3030, but has anyone heard anything about a possible new waterproof discriminating detector with a display from White's?

    Anyone experience this?

    First Outing with the T2

I took my "new" T2 for a test spin today. It is quite the chatter bug! (but I already knew that). I ran with the sensitivity around 68 and the discrimination around 25 I think. It picked up some foil and a lot of tiny buckshot . I was able to tell bottlecaps and junk pretty easily, but I...

    My new toy...

Picked up this 2 month old unit today. I have been hearing nothing but good things since it came out.

Big Gold! A First For Me!

Same site, this one is 1953 from a different catholic HS, and was found by my friend Jason. I think the place must have been used as a religious retreat!

    Lower rods

FYI in case anyone was wondering, having accessory coils attached to lower rods and pre-wrapped makes it quick and easy to switch coils. You just need to unscrew the coil connector loosen the cam lock and replace with the accessory assembly. It takes about a minute! No more messing with the...

    Hole in search coil?

Today I noticed a tiny hole in my search coil. I was using it in 4 feet of water and it was operating normally, so I wonder if it is just something I never noticed before. Is it normal? [attachment 237759 005.JPG]

Big Gold! A First For Me!

I recently started a new business venture so I have not had much time for detecting. Last week I finally got out for about an hour to check out a new site with my V3i. It was a wooded area surrounding an old swimming hole. It seemed promising, digging an Indian Head, a '44 Merc and some...

    boost plus lower RX

I tried running with similar settings a few weeks back in a quiet area. I think I get more depth with the RX up and the boost off, but I can see the value in areas with EMI issues.

Deepest or hardest target you ever found and are glad you dug up thread.

I am not using the Mixed Mode program, I use a modified Relic program. I believe that Mixed Mode ON is the default setting on Deep Silver.

Deepest or hardest target you ever found and are glad you dug up thread.

A picture is worth 100 words. Not my best or deepest, but it is a good example of the capabilities of this fine metal detector! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX-rjMLnXHY

recovery speed makes a big difference

There is no Recovery Speed. The V3i and VX3 each have Recovery Delay. It is the opposite of speed. The higher the Recover Delay the slower the Recovery Speed is!
