    Etrac bootup issues

If you guys having the problem haven't tried the master reset you may want to write down all your settings and give that a try. I know a guy on the forum that does the master reset every year just to clean it up and prevent problems. Good Luck, Ron in WV

    Sweating for Silver

Back in the 70's and 80's there were lots of 5 or more silver days or nights, yes we were hunting nights. No more night hunts just not safe. Now days or nights if I go out I am packing. Now 4 or 5 silvers a year is good year for me. Congrats on a 5 silver day. Ron in WV

A little help with the E-trac

It is your brain that is discriminating out the gold, the coins are so easy your brain says that don't sound so good so you move on for the next quarter. I don't know the best way to over come that but you may want to run a pass just for coins and then go back over the same area with the on...

Some type of a firearm piece maybe?

When you said it is threaded on the bottom that was the key. That looks like it is grooved for a O ring, I would say it is off some kind slid rod for sealing something.

could my 13" ultimate coil be bad?

Just air test it on a coin and then do the same with your stock 11" coil the stock coil should be 1.5 to 2" less than the 13". So if they are close to the same you got problems with the 13" coil. Ron in WV

Fine tuning the E-Trac for me

I forgot say I was using the 12x10sef coil, it seems a little big but I am getting really good target separation as well as good depth. Seems to be a really good all round hunting coil, for sure it will replace the stock 11" coil and it runs really close to the same depth as the ultimate 13"...

Fine tuning the E-Trac for me

I will start off with a big thanks to Elmy, So Elmy and I started talking about patterns, sound settings and sensitivity, he was sending different things to try and I wasn't able to hunt so I done the testing in the yard. So that has been going since some time in March. So about a week ago I was...

    Need A Bullet ID

For sure it looks to be old and is a black powder bullet based on the lube groves. I would guess it is a smaller caliber hunting type bullet maybe in the range of a .36cal. Just going from what I can see. For sure it is setting on top of a nice 1987 penny. LOL

Adjusting the sensitivity on ground balancing type machine??

Just wanted to put this thought out there and see if anybody agrees or disagrees or knows for sure if this idea will work as a way to adjust the sensitivity to the correct base level. Here is the idea and then I will tell you why I think this may work. I am suggesting that on machines that...

    Logging finds

Don't know if this will help or not but here is screen shot of the spread sheet I use. As you can see this is a running spread sheet and close out the each year and just stop the math for last year and make that yellow line my start for this year. I couldn't show it in the picture but if I buy...

    Question RE: Thresh hold tone.

You were over a lot of trash and your TH tone was nulling out. Also you may have noticed your ID numbers will lock up and read the same over several different targets. Next time out try lifting the coil up and you will notice the TH tone will come back. Hard to hunt an area like that, about...

A tight pattern test for etrac users who don't believe discrimination loses depth

So good to see Elmy's (y) Just wanted to wish you well, YOU are one in a million. Ron in WV

A tight pattern test for etrac users who don't believe discrimination loses depth

Guys Elmy is right on with what he is saying. But another way to look at it is rather than loss of depth, it is just not detecting. I started noticing this but hadn't got it figured out until I hooked up with Elmy. So if you put a dime on top of the ground and swing over it you should see...
