    This has been a not-so-great summer for coin totals .. it's just been too hot and buggy to want to even step outside.     Coil repair ..

    Does anyone out there know a reputable repairman who can do a professional job of fixing a bad coil cable ? The coil is a Detech EQ2 Pro 6" Double D for the Minelab Explorer.. and I would rather not send it all the way back to Bulgaria. My attempt at fixing it was an epic fail ... and my advice...

    Sniffed out my first silver coin ring today ! :minelab:

    VERY BAD TRADE WITH SILVERMAN :veryangry:

    Ok ... so I need to re-evaluate my last post. This is what I found after I removed the electrical tape on the coil connector wire. I removed the tape because the coil was responding to movement of the cable. NOT GOOD !!! I am beyond @#$%& right now, but it's my own fault. So does this person...
