    old coin mabye, with gold tint

    Found at around 6 inches I have no idea what it is really. , anybody have a idea ?

    Found around 5 inches deep in clay , found along with a few old bullets and one pennys. I am new to metal detecting and do not know if I should clean it ? I think it is a old military badge any help would be gratefull. On back of button has sherlock and co covent gardens which is london.
