Simplex Lite and Ultra both are deep.

Since you asked, yes I do. I just bought a Simplex Ultra from Richard at Backwoods detectors a few weeks ago. I was looking for a detector that if dropped in the water it wouldn't short circuit since I do a lot of beach hunting these days.

Simplex Lite and Ultra both are deep.

Here we go with the depth thing again, remember the two guys pissing off a bridge.

    Makro Kruzer

my thoughts exactly. It's like people think the higher cost of the detector the more they will find. I can tell you for a fact, that ain't true. My wife out hunts me every day of the week and twice on Sunday with her CZ5, which she has used for 20 years and I have used at least 30 different...

    Well I came close

I came close to selling my last Coin Strike, but after much consideration, I just didn't have the heart to do it. I have owned and sold or traded 30 or so metal detectors over the past 20 years and I can say that the C$ was one of the few detectors that I really hated to part with and I owned...

whats the best detector you ever had

Still one of the best detectors ever made and still sought after even today by folks who have used them in the past.

whats the best detector you ever had

Fisher C$, I still own it. Used to own three of them. Next would be CZ 5. I've owned about 30 detectors in the past 20 or so years and I keep coming back to the Coin Strike.

(Want to buy) Want to buy Fisher Coinstrike

I have had several responses regarding my C$ since I posted it here asking to buy it. But unfortunately after careful thought, I just can't part with it. It is my last C$. Maybe someday, but not right now.

Well it was bound to happen

That's with all of them brother. You pay to ship it, they pay the shipping on the return back to you. Be happy if they didn't charge you to fix it if out of warranty. Tesoro and Fisher charges if out of warranty. Garrett is usually pretty good about not charging for repairs unless it's abuse or...

    Makro Kruzer

Anyone know why they discontinued the Makro Kruzer? I remember when they first hit the market. They the new kid in town. Now you can't even find one. I saw a used one on Ebay for sale. You don't even see them come up on the classifieds.

    Thomas dankowski still tuning cz’s

Reading posts from metal detector folk about depth, kind of reminds me of something that I heard years ago, about two guys on a bridge taking a piss. One guy says to the other guy, boy that water is cold and the other guys says Yep and deep too.

    Safari and Quattro Differences

One thing for sure about the Quattro, it has one of the slowest sweep recovery speeds I have ever seen on a detector. Years ago I was at a competitive beach hunt/coin shoot and a young fellow was there trying to use a Quattro and after the first day of the hunt, he had zilch. I felt sorry for...

    Fisher Coinstrike

I used to own 3 C$'s and eventually sold two of them and kept one. I use my C$ at the beach all the time and it works great, but you have to lower sensitivity when you get in the wet sand or else it will false on you. It is still my favorite all around detector. I wound up picking them up from...

If you own a Fisher Coinstrike then you know this one is hard to come by.

I love how people say that the C$ loves round objects. But after using close to 30 different detectors at one time or another, I found they ALL love round objects.

    One of my hobbies

I built the Danish training ship Danmark and it went to the president of a west indies trading company in Fort Lauderdale Florida. The CEO flew his Cessna plane into our local airport, where I met him on the tarmac, handed off the Ship model and watched him take off on his way home. It's...

    One of my hobbies

This was a model that I built of the USS Constitution for an insurance corporation in CT. It measured 4 feet long. I ordered wood from the real Constitution and incorporated in into the model.
