    I Got Ripped Off...!!

Lousy pockets back then. Lots of coins were "holed" so they could sew them into their clothes until needed. Many of the old coins that come out of western ghost towns have holes in them.

    Help with a programming issue

Drop the frequency as low as it will go 4kHz for the LF coil, or 14 kHz for the HF coil. Reactivity 2. The 110 line and the pipe are going to be a real problem if the coin was buried anywhere near them.

    So close........yet so far away................

Found a mercury dime that had a crusty covering. Thought for sure it would be a 1916D but once I got the crap off of it, it turned out to only be a 1918D. So close.... everything was correct except the last digit in the date. :cry2:

    Bonehead mistakes...........

On a positive note - One of our club members left his detector in a park. Realized it when he got home and was unloading his gear. Drove back to the park and it was gone. A month later (two weeks ago) he hears the doorbell ring but can't answer it quick enough. Sees a car driving away and turns...

9" HF round coil and frequencies

There isn't a "default" frequency. The frequency is controlled by the Control Module. Just drop it to where you want it. It's not like the difference in performance between 28.8 and 31.3 is anything you'll ever be able to notice. I think you're way over thinking it. Set it where you want it and...

Need help with wireless headphones for my Nox 600

I really like these over the ear headphones with my Nox: https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Wireless-Headphones-Comfortable-Bluetooth/dp/B01A0EAYDI/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=Avantree+Audition+Pro+40+hr+Bluetooth+Over+Ear+Headset+w%E2%80%A6&qid=1603386114&sr=8-11

New Apex tested in my garden...

Thanks for posting this run through your test garden. I had been thinking about buying a less expensive detector for leaving in my RV. I picked up a Vanquish 540 awhile back and wasn't impressed after having the Nox 800 and the ORX & Deus. After seeing this test, I'm sure I'll just take one of...

    Xp mi-6 question

I use the Mi-6 with my Deus. It's the latest version. No issues with mine.

15" coil is worth it for depth?

Your question was "is it worth it for depth". I'd say no. At about $275.00 you'd have to find over 180 silver dimes to pay for it and that's at today's silver price. I found the 15" coil to only be about 1" deeper than the 11" coil on coin sized targets in our mineralized Arizona soil. It does...

    xp deus update iron volume???

After setting the Iron Volume to 1, how about adjusting the Iron Pitch to a tone you don't hear as well. Maybe 300 will work better than 202 for example.

FE vs FE2 Iron Bias Settings

F2 has a broader range of adjustment. More Bias on the higher end and less on the lower end than FE. F2 should cover all the bases. You just need to decide where you want to set it depending on preferred targets and the site you're hunting.

FE vs FE2 Iron Bias Settings

"Seriously, what is the reason? " So Minelab could justify charging more money for more features. You don't get all the Lexus features on a Tercel. Want more? Pay more. It's the motto of the day. Well its always been the motto of business. Don't get Iron Bias confused with Discrimination, and...

    TID on deep targets ?

I'm pretty sure there are items that can read 00,01,02,03. Your first question was about targets that didn't show an ID number. That can be because its a deep target on the fringe of being seen by the detector. Your second question has to do with a target's conductivity, size, type of metal, etc.

Great video, especially for folks with small children.

    11" X35 or another machine?

So, If you're hunting by ID instead of tone, do you walk around staring at the screen the whole time? On the Deus, do you just look at the screen when you hear, lets say, the second and fourth tones when hunting in 5 tone or what? I'm having a hard time understanding why you may miss targets...

    Older 11" coil

The older LF coils will work on the Deus but not the ORX which needs the HF or the X35 coils.
  17. T

    11" X35 or another machine?

I have the Deus and the ORX. The ORX is every bit as good as the Deus. The Deus has more audio features but what it boils down too as that if it beeps, dig it. The ORX will beep on every target the Deus beeps on.

    Question on Pinpointer! ....Help

The White's TRX pretty much only detects at the tip. I liked that, but I didn't like anything else about the TRX. But that's just me.

    Question on Pinpointer! ....Help

I've used the Garretts for years but recently picked up a Minelab Pro Find 35 and it's much better than the Garrett IMO. Waterproof to 10 feet, Iron ID, and much more sensitive than the Garrett. Very easy to set the five levels of sensitivity also.

tin cans on the deus TID

No different than any other VLF detector. The company that makes a detector that totally eliminates bottle caps and rusted flat tin while still hitting on all non ferrous will sell more of them than any other detector being produced. I don't understand how folks think this is a new thing or that...
