Impressive build quality and I'm greatful for the info threads and vids!

My 800 arrived today and I fully charged it and the headphones before turning it on. Been engrossed in getting things right in my mind so I can head out and get started, knowing key settings & functions without checking iBooks for my manual. CF shaft is on its way but without water proof cans...

Cam locks / twist locks - will they seize up from salt, sand and silt?

I expect this EQ to see plenty of time in the saltwater. My expireince (and that of others I know here ) is that a cam lock design can be problematic. I know a few work arounds but they don't compare to just cutting off the cam locks and replacing them with pluggers locks :thumbup:as I have done...

Minelab Application needs update for EQ manual

I know it's of little importance to most people here but I like the manuals within the Minelab app, I don't really use the other features except the manuals. I know I can keep a link on my smartphone but I like the way the manuals are quickly accessed within the app. I've got all kind of links...

My best of 2017 - a positive spin for our MD'ing passion

I haven't posted much this year, especially as detecting finds go. Looking forward to a great 2018. I did accomplish one thing I felt was important in regards to keeping positive light on metal detecting. I was contacted by another club member about putting together something for the local CBS...

Offering up my Sov GT, Sunray S1, Digisearch 180, 15" WOT & more...I may regret

selling this pampered GT. There is no pressing reason to sell it except someone will use it more. Physical changes and surgeries have me using my other detectors much more. My Excalibur 2, modded and on a straight CF shaft will do the same duty, except that 15" WOT is hard to beat for coverage...

WTB Whites Surfmaster PI / PI Pro 950 Coil or parts detectector

I'm looking for the Surfmaster Pulse PI / PI Pro 950 Coil. I will consider a flooded unit if the price is right. I don't care if it's the weighted pulse diver coil or the standard one. No dual field coils. Thanks.

Just ordered the Ultimate 13 inch coil for the V3i

He's referring to loop selection of Super 12 (300 mm = 11.81 inches) in the advanced settings. This will give the most accurate depth readings during pinpoint + OR - a 1/2" with the U13 mounted.

Just ordered the Ultimate 13 inch coil for the V3i

I've had the U13 for my V3i about 2 years and it is an excellent choice for coverage and depth. I think you will find the weight and balance very favorable. I have the U13 for three different brands of detectors but have the most time with it on my V. Good luck.

    Tiny keeper via my F75LTD

I haven't been very active on the forums but I'm getting my swings in. Since late last fall I've been getting to know the F75LTD and have many thoughts and impressions from field time. I won't get into much of all that here. It's so sparky I had to share this little gem pulled from under a...

Barbers X 3 - unexpected and so welcome

For someone like me who babbles on I'm trying to figure where to begin with my F75 comments. So far I've used this detector in a couple of farm fields and a very hammered park. Although I have no more than 15 hours in the field with it I am confident it is a perfect fit for me and balances out...
