    Why an 8' search coil cable?

    We all know Tesoro offers coils with 3' and 8' cable lengths. I've been looking for 5x10 ellipticals tonight, and every single one I've found has been in the 8' length. I've also looked in vain for a four-pin 3x18 CSC, in ANY cable length. I'm baffled as to why anyone would want an 8-foot...
