    Between snow storms

I'm so glad you're improving. Here where I live, it doesn't usually snow. It only does it above 1500 meters, but this year it hasn't fallen much. It has rained a lot and with a lot of wind. Sometimes, we have to remember that we are not little children anymore😂 take care, friend

    Spike?

Because of the greenish color, it looks like bronze. Bring a magnet closer and if it doesn't stick, it won't be made of iron

    Prayers Requested Please

I underwent gallbladder surgery in April of last year, a fortnight before starting my new job. I recovered quickly and was able to work. Operations today are usually very successful. In a short time it will be perfectly. Good luck to your daughter and to you.

First silver of the year and it’s a 1881 half dime !

8 royal columns. Mint of Mexico. It represents the old and the new world. "VTRAQUE VNUM" It was legal tender in the US until 1857. It was also called the Spanish dollar. It was the first internationally accepted coin... Beautiful coin!!

    Pendant @ old site

Do not clean the metal part anymore (you can do it later) but the stones will not be easily damaged. Use a toothpick and very carefully rub the dirt on the stones. I see you have other smaller stones. Rub with the toothpick too. Only the stones!!

    Pendant @ old site

Toothbrush and rub gently. Better not to clean too much. the patina protects the metal. Better to clean a little, than to destroy it

    Pendant

It could be a Victorian or even older neck pendant (choker). Excellent finds!!

    Today's departure with surprise

Dan, there was a civil war here between 1936/39 So I'll make sure, just in case... Although it also helps to not destroy what you find. I've seen people take out nice pieces with beak strokes😱

    Today's departure with surprise

Sooner or later it could happen. Land mines are not that common, but there may be some unexploded bomb. On hard ground I use a pickaxe, but I never dig in the center of the target. I always do it around and then carefully lift up the dirt. Just like we do with the shovel. Thus, I make sure...

Got out for first time in over 10 years

I had DFX a few years ago. I have since regretted selling it. An excellent machine, especially in reverse mode for relic hunting. Jimmy Sierra's book helped a lot.
