    Recent finds and cleaning question.

Couple of nice jewelry finds and that ring looks hefty. On clad halves and dollars I typically tumble them with quarters and then use a fine sos pad on the dollars and halves. That seems to give them a little cleaner look for spending and any microscopic scratches don't hurt and show up much...

    Old lake beach coins

I use leaches for walleye fishing. As I recall, they were $5.00 a dozen when I bought some up in Mn back in June. Just sayin! HH jim tn

    Old lake beach coins

Some neat and older finds. Yeah, more to be found. Hey, Odanscoils, leach's won't hurt you. Even for a big one, it would take it at least 2 hours to suck you dry of blood. :D HH jim tn

Was such a good AQ day I had to post some finds

Shortly after I retired we thought about leaving Tn and S Car was my first choice to move to. Had business that brought me over to Charleston a lot and thoroughly loved the state. We had 3 sons and grandchildren living here and couldn't quite get my spouse to say yea. You made a good choice! HH...

Big Silver / Canadian Half Dime / Very Old Printing Plate

What's to say, Dave, you got it all down pat. Really like the Fish Scale and that V nickel looks like it was dropped right after being minted. Wonderful pile of treasure again. HH jim tn

Good find on the knife. Beats 5 or so grams of silver. HH jim tn

    Last 2 weeks

No, that's true, but everything is relative. Detectors when I started out in the early 70's were operational wise mere images of what was becoming available in the 80's and 90's....and of course, onward. No doubt, though, silver coins are becoming fewer and fewer. And, clad, too. Neither are...

    Equinox 900

Hope you've taken the chance to get out with the 900 to get an idea what it may have to offer. I found it seems to be a bit better in heavy trash separation then was my 600. Can't find, though, any real difference in depth. I will state, however, that 6" coil is pretty deadly. Not a depth demon...
