    Here’s the scoop:

Good on the wheats and silvers. Try a wet q tip and a dab of baking soda. Just rub the soda around gently with the q tip. HH Jim tn

    4 ring toplot day

Yeah, some good and strange things can be found in tot lots, but I suspect most gold is lost by teachers and mothers of the kids. I had a tot lot route I hunted a few years ago early Sun mornings before Church and the tot lots got active. Before I stopped hunting the tot lots I was averaging...

    Not exactly a find...but old.

Yeah, those kind of things are special. Neat! I've got a cigar box with 15 or so fishing lures I got when my gps passed back in the 70's, of which, most were from the 40's-50's. HH Jim tn

    Silver everyday for 5 days

You are on a pretty good roll. Keep it going. miser man is right, woods in and around old parks can be outstanding treasure spots. Watch for tic's, though, during the summer. Ours around here are unhuntable for that reason except in the winter months when they are dormant. HH Jim tn

Got a Question for all those old timers out there like me???

Location is a high percent, but few reading this post know of an undetected site. Most of us are hunting hard hunted parks, schools, and similar spots, and while running into one such spot that hasn't been hit so hard as most, can bring results, on a day in, day out, bases, knowing whatever...

    I love curb strips

There are gold and silver testing kits, but silver in the dirt just has that pure silver look to it, too. HH Jim tn

    NEL Sharp Coil

Moose57, I used the Nel Sharp Shooter coil on my AT Pro's, and liked it very much. I found it to have a fair amount more depth than the similar size Garret. I hate saying that, but it was significant in my case. Maybe I just had a bad Garrett, I don't know. Good luck! HH jim tn

    A Day at the beach

A lotta scoops will keep you healthy, though. That's a massive batch of targets, good and bad. HH jim tn

    First merc

Its easy to forget, but when first starting out in this hobby the first of anything can be ever so exciting, except perhaps trash. A hunting buddy of mine just recently got a fellow he worked with interested in metal detecting. After a little research he snagged himself a good used Nox 900...
