Manticore Depth Test Result - Not too impressed

Minelab first quoted 50% more power into the ground.......then after somebody said they were lying they changed it to 50% more power to the coil.In reality its just 100% marketing blurb to get people to part with their hard earned cash.Is what it is.......if people are happy to spend loads of...

Manticore Depth Test Result - Not too impressed

I'd like to see one of those people go to a virgin field and compare all the signals they get with someone who has say an etrac or a Deus or any other top notch machine...........I bet they would all pick up the targets. It won't be long before the second hand market is rife with...

Manticore Depth Test Result - Not too impressed

I was thinking the other day about all the really good finds i have made over the years and being in the UK i've made quite a few,Roman, medievil, celtic and even saxon finds etc..........i would have found the vast majority of these with any of the detectors i have owned and i've owned many in...

Manticore Depth Test Result - Not too impressed

I've done many tests with many detectors on proper targets,ie buried in the ground for a good period of time. The results I got were very interesting and sometimes quite shocking and nothing like the manufacturers claims and nothing like some you tube detectorists claims either.Proper testing on...

Manticore and Deus 2 unmasking with elliptical coil.

Seems to be something seriously wrong with that test.........I have an 80's technology detector that would pass those tests and a test with the hammered coin in between those nails lengthways on,the Deus should easily pick that coin up even with that coil..........there are many detectors that...

700 Year old coin found with The Manticore

The excitement of seeing the edge of a hammered never dulls.👍👍

    Deus 2 or manticore?

Good luck with the new machine but I bet your finds rate won't go up much, the etrac is still a cracking machine.

Has anyone ever used a Minelab GPX 5000 on a park searching for coins

Yes,i doubt anyone wants their nicely looked after public space looking like the battle of the Somme.

    Compadre Is King

Great little detectors the compadre's.......proven over many years with many finds.👍👍

Has anyone ever used a Minelab GPX 5000 on a park searching for coins

Wow thats brave......they aren't really designed for that type of detecting, they are for finding gold nuggets out in the gold fields where there is little man made trash about.A chap once told me he used to use a gpx (dont know what model) on cleaner beaches to good effect but a park.......that...

    Which One

Had an mxt too but I found the M6 did everything just as well and was better on the beach.

    Which One

Nautilus Dmc 2b........found most of my good stuff with that machine,White's M6 I believe ran at 14 and did well with that too.Laser trident was another machine I had great success with at 14khz.In my personal opinion after using many detectors over the years I would say that 14 kHz is the...

    Which One

I've always had my best finds at 14khz.👍👍

First time cz3d owner wondering if the f75 compares

The frequency of the sm45 is around 14khz I believe but dont know about the X1.I believe the X1 was popular in Europe but its quite a heavy machine and takes a bit of learning, very deep though apparently.......I wouldn't mind trying one as I'm impressed with the 45.

First time cz3d owner wondering if the f75 compares

Alas, they are no more, miss the days of the Nautilus most of all and my beach hunter id.Still do well with the Sovereign and the seahunter so don't really take much notice of the latest machines......they are deep enough for me.The Saxon is a simple machine made by Essex metal detectors with just...

First time cz3d owner wondering if the f75 compares

I haven't done any land fishing for quite a while now since moving back to the coast, the only detectors I now own are a c scope 1220xd,a saxon sm45,a minelab sovereign gt and a seahunter mk2.In fact I haven't done much detecting at all because I'm usually too knackered with work. Need to get...

    Simplex Ultra Unmasking

I can do this with an eighties c scope 1220xd,these tests are totally useless as results will be totally different on targets that have been in the ground for many years.

Can anyone beat this detection depth?

That is great depth on a small gold ring, the excal is still a force to be reckoned with.

    Monte

He will definitely be missed. So sorry to hear this.
