    Curious what this is

Yep with you 100% on that. Found the same with some old coins once. 👍

dues 2 finds rare gold coin

Thats great but.....to look I had to click on cookies which tracks and trades. Also the person found the coin not the detector (add for Dues) many many other detectors could have found it. Even much older ones with a good operator. This is advertising. Just a link. Nothing else.

What do you do with a guy who digs deep holes and leaves his trash behind ???

Australia, gets shortened to Aus, then again to OZ. 😁 We're a bit lazy here with our language at times. 😆

    Whites "Flagship" Detector ?

For me it was the Goldmaster series with VSat control. Was a game changer in variable ground to speed up the threshold recovery from mineralisation changes. I recently got a Garrett 24k. It was Whites last Goldmaster and when Garrett took over Whites they continued the 24k. They even kept the...

What do you do with a guy who digs deep holes and leaves his trash behind ???

Sadly here in Oz, these days id say 80% of recent digs on gold in the goldfields are left open. Now n then covered in but majority are left as they dug them.

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

Wouldn't part with mine either. I have recently got a Garrett 24k for gold and its very good. But for coins and relics I love the 705. The 705 is still very capable on gold though and to be honest id trust its id for gold amongst junk over the 24k.

    XT 18000

It is. I used all from Xt1600 to the 1800 Best depth I found testing in bad Aussie ground and on undug targets I detected comparing Ft1600, 1700 and 1800 was this. 20khz with the 10" DD. That combo went actually deeper than the lower khz 6.4 which Minelab says is the deepest on bigger targets...

    Minelab Manticore

"MULTI IQ+: Minelab’s revolutionary technology has 50% more power than traditional models and is the highest-powered simultaneous multi-frequency machine on the market" 50% more power than traditional models. Traditional, traditionally, is single frequency. Im not sure a Nox is in the...

Minelab F-3 - designed for detecting land mines

They used to modify the F3 here in Oz for gold detecting a number of years ago. They were in roughly the same league as an SD2100.

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

Thanks. If I had the option to add just 1 thing it would be a SAT control similar to that of the old whites detectors. That was a very useful thing in bad ground mineralised areas. I often wondered why others never adopted a similar function/control on their vlf gold detectors!? Cheers mate and...

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

@Old Longhair Out today, damn it was cold here. Was supposed to be 13c, i reckon was just 8. Got two tiny bits. Reckon was another tiny tiny "ping ping" but I accidentally kicked it away into some surrounding junk. 😆 Still was a great day. Was a very very junk area and reckon only something...

1902 Horse Carriage Emblem Tag / Big Silver / Nice Silver Jewelry Variety

Wow, just WoW finds! Good on you. 👍👍👍👍 Here because we have such a short history, finds are getting scarce relic wise. I used to love coin and relic hunting, still do and have a go here n there. Did find some lovely things in the past but now just hunt gold, relics where I think I might get...

456kg gold nugget found in Ghana whilst detecting

Im gonna say, its gold in rock, the whole thing is not a nugget and at one stage just three guys are flipping it too easy. Thats 1 guy flipping easy 150kg. I have seen a 150 kg gun safe and it aint easy to budge let alone flip over. I dont believe that rock and gold weigh 450 odd kg. Id bet easy...

Hi. As the title. Anyone here use one or seen it in the field on gold?

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

Yeah I tried a Nox 800 for a while, owned it, so many places Id hit with the 705 it didn't really make look new again if you get what I mean. It was a good machine, battery, cordless etc but its gold mode left a lot to be desired. It was like they tried, gold mode, didn't get it quite right and...

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

I still own and use a Terra 705. Magic little machine. Still a capable gold finder in the right ground conditions. A real pleasure to use.

    Any idea on this?

Hi. Yes I can only imagine. It was from the famous Kangaroo gully Talbot. I will admit that im not the most monetary wise successful Aussie detetectorist. But have been in it since around 1990. But have been very fortunate to have known by doing so and from family friends from where we live to...
