OBN.. that's so true that alot of names of guys from yester yrs are not heard from any more. He had invited me on more than one occasion yrs back to pull up short on my drive down to OBX and spend the day hunting with him. Unfortunately it never happened. I'll be at OBX this sept trying my...

    Beach hunting shoes

I guess its dependent on how often there worn. If you water hunt and sand hunt 30-40 times a yrs or more, longevity is maybe 2-3 seasons i'm guessing. ( And thats just a guess ). I've had mine for YRS, but they dont see much action anymore.

    Beach hunting shoes

They used to make a product called sink the stink. ( really ) any local dive shop or on line would have it or something very similar. Worked good for wet suites . Should work good for neoprene booties too...

A Question for Beach Hunters using Minelab FBS (Safari)

for beach hunting, the ol'e adage has been bigger is alway better, just because of the shear amount of area you may want to cover.

    Fisher CZ's still the King

HMMM , i guess I'm just not seeing it. If your a right handed user which probably 95+ percent of us are your handle, shaft and coil are in the right hand. Your control box is hip mounted on your left, so just place your left hand on the control box itself and when a target sounds off rotate the...

    Fisher CZ's still the King

I think you may be pleasantly surprised on how they balance when hip mounted...... but what you may not like is the "old tech" on the units. If you are indeed a water hunter/diver the cz20/21 is hard to beat. JMHO Cheers

    Fisher CZ's still the King

from a person who is 63 yrs old, had 3 total knee replacements ( yes 3 ) open heart surgery the weight "thing" is no issue period ! since you never owned a cz you would see for yourself the mounting is no big deal.

    Fisher CZ's still the King

With all this chatter about the weight of the cz detectors... i didn't find one response saying to just use the belt clip that was usually supplied with the detector and hip mount/chest mount the unit and just swing the rod and coil... I've been doing that for yrs with my cz20/21. Hunting 3+...

If Fisher would make a modern High end coin / relic detector???? Would you buy and what options would it need to have ??

I'm in agreement here except for one thing.. For me personally a waterproof unit would be perfect ( like rated to 10-15 feet ). A screen set-up like the ol'e explorer would be cool too. but not with the many sub layers it had. Finally 999.00-1299.00 is priced accordingly AHHH wishfull thinking.

Barber Quarter, Dimes and Pool Hall Token

FPD.. thats a great haul of oldies you pulled from the ground for certain.. My belief is still those FBS detectors were/are still hard to beat hands down. Mark ( ohio )
