    How many Cortes users here?

I had one some yrs back.. Initially I thought it would turn out to be a pretty good detector, was pulling coins from the ground 6-7 deep until one outing with a buddy who was using an original explorer.. As we were hunting, he said to me i got a silver dime right here about 3-4 deep. I scanned...

First time Water detecting. 10 cents richer.

Don't get discouraged by not finding much.. Water hunting is a whole different beast for sure !! you have to move at a snails pace ( at least I do ), because you have the resistance of the water against the detector shaft and coil.. Moving too fast is only going to get you fatigued quickly...

Tell us how long you been Metal Detecting

ACTUALLY , let me clarify my answer as to when I started... my interest really began back in 1973 ( age 13 ) when a whites dealer came to my house for a demo with my moms approval . He had various units with him and he hunted our vast yard for about an hr. Not a single coin to be found, but...

    Fisher CZ's still the King

UMMM , I do agree with the talk of the cz units. I went from a whites silver eagle to a cz5 and did see quality finds increase ( tho the cz was notorious for iding deep iron as a good target ).... BUT, i should think your sov GT should be a silver ( and copper ) slayer and every bit as good ( if...

I had mine converted last season but only used it once since then. Do u think the conversion was/is an improvement ( if it is, in what way )... or no noticeable change what-so-ever. Just curious on your thoughts.. Mark ( ohio )

Comparison - Manticore vs EQX 800 vs Explorer SE Pro

Hello Charles ; I will be looking forward to your continued testing of the units. Way back when I also used the original exp and then the exp II. I didn't move beyond the exp II on account of alot of hunters in our club found the se pro a step behind the exp II. The e-trac seemed heavier to me...
