    Last 3 Hunts & a cache...

Howdy-- Wow, getting ready for Christmas and have been bussy with my Hospice volunteering - just not enough time to detect! However, my last 3 hunts were productive. People who have been on this site for a few years might remember my posts regarding a site that I thought had little or no good...

    White's service :super:

Howdy-- I have been using White's detectors since the Eagle 2 was released and have always been impressed with both the quality of their machines and the efficiency and high standards of their service department. Also the answers to any technical questions are just a phone call away. My last...

    Corner Lot Tare Down...

Howdy--- We went back to that overgrown fire-damaged home and the best part is that it had been mowed so I was saved from the task of mowing it in 100+ degree heat. The downside was that Kenneth and I each only found 1 wheat cent and a few dollars in clad and memorials. The house will be...

John R. Sinnock Coins - Silver...

Howdy wasp--- I did pass your kind words to Kenneth . They put a smile on his face. Kenneth is a real pro when it comes to detecting. He has been swinging a White's coil since the 1960's and in fact owned and operated Fireball Electronics which supplied White's detectors to KellyCo and 13 of...

John R. Sinnock Coins - Silver...

Waterdog, I'll get those weeds down and I'm sure that the neighbors will be appreciative. The house is an eye sore - burnt roof, sides and overgrown yard. My guess, is that in the next few months the house will be torn down and the lot cleared. Best of luck and... Happy Hunting! Blind Squirrel

John R. Sinnock Coins - Silver...

Thanks Jimmy. The weeds were tallest about 3' on either side of the sidewalk leading up to the front door. That's a prime area for goodies. I am optimistic about tomorrow's hunt. Best of luck and... Happy Hunting! Blind Squirrel

    Coming back to whites...Nervous

Howdy Stix-- No need to be nervous - be excited! Your new purchase is a powerful detector that can be customized to your ground, hunting style and specific goals. Johnedoe gave you good advice to check the sticky notes at the top of this page. Regardless of which program(s) you use, may I...

John R. Sinnock Coins - Silver...

Howdy-- In my 30+ years of detecting, I have found that the most frequently dug silver coins are those designed by John R. Sinnock. Here are 3 examples from my most recent hunt. I've been having pretty good luck detecting in an older neighborhood and when Kenneth and I went out for a hunt we...

Thanks pulltab! It's good to be working and making the cash but you know what they say: "all work and no play...". Seriously, I hope that you can get out swinging the coil! Best of luck and... Happy Hunting! Blind Squirrel

    Mars sniper Coil & Sef

Howdy below2doe-- I have never used a Mars coil or an SEF but I have to say that the White's 6x10 coil is one of my favorites. I hunt mostly vacant lots and old home sites and have found it to be a darned good coil. It gets good separation and good depth. I have also had success using it on...

    Help me keep my V3i

Howdy Waterdog-- You didn't mention what coil you were using, what program you were using or what frequency - Best Data? Correlate? or a single frequency? Or what filters you were using? In any event, it sounds like your sensitivities were too high for the ground you were hunting. If you...

    Confederate Veterans Reunion Medal...

Howdy-- I dug this medal a few years ago and was wondering if anyone had any info on it other than the obvious? The inscription reads: United Confederate Veterans Reunion June 8-10, 1909 Winnie Davis Memphis Tenn. The backmark is Schawaab's & S Co. , Milwalkee It appears to be of brass...

    Yesterday's Hunt - Silver!

Thanks Jimmy. That $100 helps to keep diesel fuel in my truck. The guy lost his ring while mowing his lawn. If he hit it it could have been thrown 50 feet from where he thinks that he lost it. I'll be going back to give it another try tomorrow. I'll probably have to crawl under his trampoline...
