    Anyone tried NEL coils on the simplex

    Heard Nel was going to release Simplex coils this December. Picture from their site shows a Snake size and maybe Tornado size but no confirmation on any size yet. Another 3-4 weeks and we should know specifics. They make great quality coils which are usually lighter than original equipment.

    Unless the rangers come and talk to you, you should be OK. I live in Carson too and have had conversations with many park officials. If they bother me I say watch me for awhile. Then they usually leave. Soon I fear they will post the no metal detecting signs in more parks. Hope it doesn't come...

    First Hunt with the new 8.5" DD search coil

    Thanks for all the reports and weight of new coils. I still need personally, a smaller lighter coil. Will keep my eyes on the feedback from all the users and may pick up the 9.5 x 5" in a few months. Thanks again.

    Boy I hope that's not right. If that's the case I'll wait for Nel, Cors, or Mars to come out with their smaller DD coils. They are usually lighter and a little more accurate than standard coils anyway.

    I'm with you Monte. That 5" coil is great for tight spots and trashy places. I haven't taken the 6" coil off my Equinox since I got it. I use it everywhere. Lakes parks, trashy sites. I would try the 9" x 5 1/2" when it ever comes out, but in the mean time I'm fine with my Equinox and my Simplex...

    Simplex optional coils

    Which means about 6 weeks before it is actually in the market place around July 22-28th. Most of us are waiting but using other machines with lighter coils, while we wait.

    Also in another interview, Delik said you have to do the update to use the new coils. Why? The Simplex coil should work with either program. I like the original program. Disappointed if that is true. We are waiting a long time for these coils, so they should work with both programs.

    I understand the factory is at 50% workforce per virus, but seems Nokta didn't listen to most of us on what size smaller coil. Most want a 7 inch or 7"x 4.5 " type coil. They make these sizes for most of their other machines. By the same token I wouln't want to be in their shoes especially...

    Yes Makro has 200 plus people at their plant and they have to rotate them to keep the virus at bay. I'm ready for a new small coil also, but sometimes you just have to wait. Guessing it will be June 1 before they get a new coil out. Just a guess though.

    The interview with Delik was on Detect History Facebook page. The large coil was 13" not 15" but the others were 9" concentric and 9 1/2" x 5" DD coils.

    I agree. The only coil of those I want also is the 9 1/2' x 5" DD coil. Hopefully they do a 7 inch concentric also. We will see what they actually release by summer.

    Thats what an interviewer said on his visit o the warehouse in Turkey and his coversation with Those were the reported coils from an interview with Dilek at the Nokta plant in Turkey.

    Heard they were working on 3 Simplex coils from a report from Nokta. The 3 coils were 9" concentric 9 1/2 x 5 DD and 15' DD. Coils supposed to be out by late spring or summer. Report was on a Simplex users site on Facebook.
