    I purchased two shovels to use while detecting

    CKG carbon fiber is the better option, especially as we age. Lightweight is so important when you're out detecting all day. The lower weight will save your back from extra strain.

    It's unfortunate the insurance isn't covering more, given the value lost. It's always a good reminder for the rest of us to thoroughly review our policies and make sure anything of significant value is properly accounted for.

    Any difference between the regular 1266x and 1266x XB ?

    I typically run it in all-metal mode with sensitivity at about 55-60% and disc mode off. I find this picks up the best balance of good targets without too much chatter.
