    New to this forum.

I just purchased a White's Surfmaster PI Pro detector and thought that I would give water detecting a try. This is all new to me and I was hoping that maybe I could get some good tips from some of you water detecting fellows. This machine seems pretty simple enough to operate and I believe it's...

    Club hunt. Gold and silver.............:)

Nine of our members showed up at our club hunt today. A little nippy this morning, but the sun was out all day and it made for an enjoyable day. Lot's of clad and there were three mercs and a couple of rosie's found and four silver rings. One of the fellows got a 1891 injun and I kept my silver...

Forgot to post this other pin.

I found this pin a week ago. It's a Field & Stream fishing award pin and on the back it says 6lbs 20oz. Does anyone have any clues on this pin? Thanks and HH. Eddie

Yesterday's hunt. Need some help on a crossed rifle pin I found and approximate age.

My buddy Lee and I went to an old park that was new to us. Hunted for about three hours and all I could come up with was clad. Lee lucked out and got a 1907 Indian and a 1910 Canadian dime. We then went to another park and the old XS started working for me. I got a 34 and 42 mercs and a 41 wheat...

everyone on the dilemma we have with a certain fellow in our club. I knew I would get mostly positive comments from the Minelab forum and that's what is so great about this detecting forum and all the help we share with everyone. Thanks again to all of you. HH and best wishes to all of you...

Did he find it or not?

Hi fellows, We had our club Christmas party last Saturday night and our yearly scavenger hunt contest for detectorist of the year. I had a pretty good idea who might win, but when the winner was announced, myself and most of the rest of us hard core detectorists were shocked. This guy who won...

    Old farm site.

Got a chance to get out yesterday for a couple of hours and while driving to one of my good old producing school yard sites I discovered that an old farm was no longer there. The property was sold and lots of dirt was being moved around. One of the fellows operating a big back hoe gave me the ok...

    This is for Dug.

Hi Doug, I'm still kicking, but I was down and out for a little while. I got hurt at work on the 13th and it was a Friday of all things!! I was closing a big sliding door and this 12 foot long aluminum bar that was standing in the corner came down and got me pretty good on my left shoulder...

    The loss of Pulltabby.

What a shame to hear about the loss of Pulltabby. His posts will surely be missed by all of us and my heart felt sympathy goes out to all his family members. Live for today and if it just happens to be with a detector in your hand then cherish it always because you just never know what tomorrow...

    Mis-struck rosie.

Since my bank doesn't have their automatic coin counting machine anymore I'm back to rolling my clad coins again and I came across this 1991 P rosie that looks to mis-struck. You can see more rim on the left side and hardly any at all on the right side. Does anyone think it might be worth...

    Amazing!!!!!

Is it just me or are all of us seeing more posts from what appears to me to be new people on the forum? The funny thing is it also has seemed to have happened since the new SE came on the market. I'm still waiting for some more good posts and pictures of the finds from the fellows who own the SE...

    Hey jb.................

I know you didn't mean that the person who lost that seated coin is still looking for it.............:) I'm sure all those who lost seated coins back when are probably in a better place by now. Only the living are still looking for that elusive seated coin and don't rub it in..........:) My day...

I also got a heavy pendant, but I think it's nickle plated pewter. Three of the guys did some water detecting and two...

    Silver cleaning polish.

Hey fellows............While I was over in Eastern Washington detecting, the wife and I stopped in this antique mall and I picked up this bottle of silver polish. It's a very mild liquid and it works realy great. I had a silver quarter that was almost black and with very little effort this stuff...
